D'aww thanks!

I would rather talk about paint and rocks with you guys than grade these gosh darned awful assignments. Alas... back to grading. And hitting F5 on my email to see if I have a shipping notification!

Which supports my theory that East Canada was a fluke/the excpetion NOT the rule of shipping. Sorry you have no notification yet:( I think I just saw the update e-mail drop!

Wait, You're in strongsville? 15min from me? Oh I got an easy solution now (for anything medium or smaller, and some things in the large category even)

Go to harbor freight- pickup some of the 'small parts' storage, the clear plastic things, they make great storage, and you can sort them however you want.  Basically if you want unpainted storage, this is nice. Painted storage, i can't help ya there. (This is most of my bones 2/3 human-ish style figures, I added 3 containers (less painted minis of course) in prep for bones 4.

No need to be sorry. It is what it is. The package will be here soon enough. Ideally soon enough is Monday though! I still think eastern Canada had a driver and UPS workers on magic speed drugs, because the timeline was absurd.

Be aware that petrified wood comes in a very wide range of colors and palettes, depending on the minerals present at the time the petrification process occurred.

@Cyradis can do a much better job of explaining this than I will ever be able to.  Do a web search for pix of petrified woods and you will find all sorts of wood in all sorts of colors.

Went for a chunk that was similar to that of the photo that Megan used.

Sort of a sandy color with a bit of iron oxide reddish brown.

While we do have a rather big table to play on, thanks to our D&D host, there are only so many campaign ending big bads a campaign needs. Most D&D games never get to the levels where it would be appropriate to fight those ginormous monsters.

I like the miniatures ofc, but more dragons within the 2 inch and 3 inch base category would see more actual game time. And the wyvern from the core set is more likely to be used to kill players than Blacksting is.

This is my thinking exactly. I've got a big table too but we tend to do more stuff on a smaller table or more stuff on a big table rather than 1-2 minis.

Shipping noticed received. Shipped from Calgary estimating arrival Tuesday. :winkthumbs: Now if it works like my last UPS delivery they'll wait until Tuesday, say it can't be delivered and throw it into the mail to be delivered Friday.

Question/suggestion has been made about an All Metal KS.  Ed said they would have discussion on the feasibility of such a project.

I'm pretty sure Ed also said "Don't hold out on that." :/

Yeah, my 2ft x 4ft table is having trouble with five people around it, DM screen, and gameplay stuff. We're considering switching to a rolled up grid sheet to use instead of the laminated one, so that I can move the grid as we go. Still limited table space but it would make maps a bunch easier.

aye, whats that in Candian?

Having done a ton (possibly literally) of metal KSs, I think a lot of backers (you know the ones....) would complain a lot when there aren't the huge savings like in the Bones ones (or other plastic KSs). With metal figs so much of the cost is in the actual metal that they can't possibly offer the same kind of discounts. I've seen it on a number of other ones.

Which is why the accountant told the art director [paraphrased] "we'll talk about it" [in private when we can lay out all the numbers and not confuse all the Reaper Peeps who don't understand the business side of our business].

looking at this thread is starting to torture me.  I went small on this KS because it felt like Kingdom Death KS was getting all my money at the time.

- I have really enjoyed the game, and painting the core minis - but my latest campaign lost steam, it uses such a lot of time....

I picked and chose my favorite of the big things, but now it feels like another 50-70$ or so would have made me happier.  Plus I have to wait till it hits retail, and hope the prices for big silly things only doubles.

Revised wishlist: - things unbought.

Dance of Death

Dreadmere Expansion

Mammoth (s)

Blacksting

Tree of Despair
