Based on historical data of wave 1 orders, averaging 500 a day will take about 5-6 days. Removing the Canadian orders from wave 1, you can still expect an average of 1.5 orders per backer or about 2700 orders left in wave 1.

They also said that today was still "tentatively" scheduled for the start but since that was Thursday and they still weren't positive about starting today it makes me feel that they weren't confident about the date. 

 

Right.   Not to be all Eeyore on everything, but they did say today was just a target and not a definite.

The Auld Grump is an even bigger fan than I am, since I stopped watching it for about a year after the Red Wedding.

Not holding my breath to see new bones any time soon   my wave number is double digits and I have a hut in my order.  Maybe I'll see them in May?

 

It's not like I don't have 20 other miniatures to paint, including a good chunk of wave 3 bones if I feel the need for plastic...

I hope the short stocked items last through at least wave 2, otherwise I might have to arrange alternate delivery plans.  We are leaving the country for vacation on the 26th.

It really surprises me that they've lost all their customer-facing staff and not replaced them during a crucial period in the company where communication is of the highest priority. I mean, ReaperBryan left around the end of the KS, IIRC, so it's not like there hasn't been time to promote someone or higher someone qualified to provide that outstanding communication Reaper used to have. I know it's not something you can just summon out of thin air, but I don't get the why of it at this point.

 

That said, I'm not a business, so I can't do more than speculate. Hopefully, Reaper will be back on its game when it gets to rolling out Bones 5, and hopefully I'll get my shipment confirmation sooner rather than later. I won't have a day off from work until Easter Sunday, though, so it's not like I'll get to just play with them for hours on my day off before then, one way or another...
