No more ReaperBryan - he parted ways for other exciting things. And Ladystorm retired. I suspect that they're readjusting to not having some formerly prominent employees right now. Hopefully they'll get into the swing of things and be back on the easy-communication-train soon. I don't think Reaper is trying to bamboozle anyone.

Bamboozle is such a great word.

Also really need that undead ogre in plate armor...I have a mighty need...

I doubt ReaperBryan would have popped in to give us news right now, since he would either be A. setting up, B. packing, or C. trying to figure out why neither of the first two options was being taken care of right now.

Right. That's why I was saying they've got the void--between ReaperBryan leaving for Secret Weapon and Ladystorm retiring, that's two of their main community outreach folks. But even if Bryan were still hanging out in Dallas, I'm not sure he would have let us know as of this very moment what was going on.

Wait, you mean it's more than just the place between Edmonton and Calgary?  ::P:

I'm going to try and distract myself with fun stuff today.  I know I was not anywhere near first to lock in a Wave 1 pledge, so I won't be hearing anything before tomorrow anyway.

Is someone keeping track of all the cities/towns listed on the tracker somewhere? I probably wont be able to watch closely, but if theres a list compiling I'd definitely check in on that periodically (once the tracker starts moving again)

I hope they get someone soon. In the meantime...

Just putting it out there, I'm looking for work.....I mean, sure I'm in the wrong country, and sure my field is unrelated to public relations, and yeah I'm not known for being the most diplomatic person, but I DO spend a ton of time on the forums!  :poke:

Oh, if that's the only qualification!

It really surprises me that they've lost all their customer-facing staff and not replaced them during a crucial period in the company where communication is of the highest priority. I mean, ReaperBryan left around the end of the KS, IIRC, so it's not like there hasn't been time to promote someone or higher someone qualified to provide that outstanding communication Reaper used to have. I know it's not something you can just summon out of thin air, but I don't get the why of it at this point.

That said, I'm not a business, so I can't do more than speculate. Hopefully, Reaper will be back on its game when it gets to rolling out Bones 5, and hopefully I'll get my shipment confirmation sooner rather than later. I won't have a day off from work until Easter Sunday, though, so it's not like I'll get to just play with them for hours on my day off before then, one way or another...

Its hard to replace bryan...

Bones V - A Game of Bones?

There is a Song of Ice & Fire RPG Game of Thrones Edition - still around, and still in print. ::):

I have the PDF from a long time ago, I think from the previous edition of the game.

The Auld Grump

Not a bad idea, but I am hoping for Bones F5: Refreshing

Maybe they decided to do regular business stuff in the morning and the packing in the afternoon?  I doubt it but I am going to hope that is what is going on.  If they don't start right after lunch I am guessing that will mean a no-go for today and we will have to hope for tomorrow.

While we wait here is a little about everyone's favorite new Canadian town of Red Deer:

Red Deer is a city in Central Alberta, Canada. It is located near the midpoint of the Calgary–Edmonton Corridor and is surrounded by Red Deer County. It is Alberta's third-most-populous city – after Calgary and Edmonton. The city is located in aspen parkland, a region of rolling hills that is home to oil, grain, and cattle production. It is a centre for oil and agriculture distribution, and the surrounding region is a major centre for petrochemical production. Red Deer had a population of 100,418 as of the Canada 2016 census making Red Deer Alberta's third city to surpass 100,000 people.[3]

But the big question is has anyone in Red Deer gotten their Bones yet? I mean you're about as close to Calgary as you can get.

The closer something is, the more impatient we become. *stares at UPS tracker*

Checked mine. It says that it has left Calgary and should be delivered tomorrow by end of the day. We'll see. UPS has a history of lying about delivery service here. I'm expecting it by Friday with Canadapost after UPS says they can't deliver. I'll be at home most of the day tomorrow waiting for the delivery. Didn't plan it that way, just worked out that I have business here.

From last Thursday’s Reaper Live I understood that they had completed the walk-through to optimize the work path but still hadn’t actually set everything up yet.  I could be wrong though. That happens way more often than I am comfortable with sometimes.

Right now it states that it arrived in Regina at 1 in the morning, and that delivery is scheduled by the end of today. Hasn't moved since then. My worry is that it won't be delivered directly by UPS, but by one of the local couriers that does contracts for them. That particular one has a driver that quietly goes up to the door and sticks a "Sorry we missed you, now you have to go pick up your package the next day on your own time and expense" sticker. He never knocks, never gives service. Even last time when he was forced to come back to deliver the package that he didn't bother trying to do, I caught him coming up to the door and reaching to write another note without even bothering to knock. Not happy with him at all.
