I am taking a small break. My back is aching a bit, haha. So far things generally fit together well. The worst offender yet is the T-rex's back. Others may take some bending, but it was done manually to a point of needing little greenstuffing, if any. 

 

In inventorying, just zombie shark jaw missing thus far for figures and who knows, it may be in a box somewhere. Will contact them at some point about that if not, along with the paint. Should do it all as one lump for lowest pestering. 

 

I like the frost giant raiders. Not my favorite of the KS, but they feel fierce and well detailed. The caribou antler is fragile, but intact. And the non-broccoli detached base? Way good. It is similar style to the January Owlbear's. 

 

And the sprues are seeming to be a wise move. Some of these pieces are fitting together really really well, and mold lines so far have been lower than I've seen on older models. Occasionally one is placed in a not-perfect spot, but they've been manageable. Really glad I bought sharp sprue-nippers during a hobby shop sale recently. 

 

It would be great if @Ratmaster2000 had his offer taken! Reaper is suffering on PR right now, and it doesn't seem that they are malicious or trying to be deceptive, but a mouthpiece who knows social media would be useful. Or just coordinating communication. They like their updates, but their method is leaving some grumps that make me sad to watch. I'd like to share the unboxing joy with you good peoples!

Note: this is technically not a poking stick. It is actually a spider stick. But I don't believe it's time to escalate things that far. Maybe in a couple more days though.

 

What kind of monstrous spiders do you have that you need a stick that long to deal with them? and how do I get some?

 

On topic, I got super excited when I got a shipping notice from Reaper UK yesterday. Unfortunately, it wasn't the Kickstarter-  it was my housemate ordering minis on our Reaper account as a surprise present for me

Indeed.  Their target was Monday.  Many are not angry that they missed said target, but would like to know when the new target is.   While I'd rather they spend the time it would take  to update us on getting the work done, I understand the perspective of others who disagree with me.

Ok cool. I had the impression you were saying the opposite.

Please be aware of not throwing away the sprue of this guy too early, that little bit at the top of the sprue actually goes on the bottom of his left foot. It's easy to miss, so keep it in mind.

Anyone else get the Modern Scenics yet?  Just wondering if others only got 2 of each barrel instead of 3?

I think it best to assume Friday or next Monday will be the start date. Because the daily empty hope is just not fun. And if those days pass and nothing, then we may need a quick guess by Reaper as to when they think it will start. Because we have to remember, it will be half days of shipping, so it will take a lot longer than we are use to with previous KS.

Cave spiders, just like in the Darkreach expansion. I guess you'll have talk to Reaper about how to get some though.

I have my Bones!!! I was right about UPS not doing the delivery but was way off on the date. Almost didn't pick up the mail today because I didn't think anything would be there. Managed to get it in the house and a lot of it looked through and camouflaged before the wife came down to see what I was doing. She only saw the core set, a few choice picks from the expansions and various scenery. I started off with showing her the evil dwarves because she has a soft spot for dwarves. Haven't looked at a lot of things closely but so far it seems good. Need to check the paints now that I see people here had some problems. I only got set B.

Nah, it wouldn't be worth it here. I'm 6' 3" and my box is only about 2' x 1' x 1.5'. I deliberately never bought a lot of the really big stuff. Core, all the expansions and a few other things. I think I had the second smallest parcel of all the weights people here said.

That's got to be one of the wierdest reasons for making a sprue I've seen. I glanced at the giants but never opened them yet. I've only painted one stone giant out of all my other giants and now I have more frost, stone and hill giants to do.
