Turns out, Argent is big. Who knew? Even the main torso with limbs is huge:

That is a substantial body. It's great that the legs and torso are molded as a single piece. And it is very solid. Also, the shininess seems to be mainly the light. There is some visible to the naked eye, but not as much as it seems in the pictures. Also, similar to the snake, it feels dry to the touch, with no residue as far as I could tell.

Assembly was a breeze, though the front wing wouldn't stay attached (just as well, easier to see everything this way):

Argent is so large, I had to break out a second bones art book for a backdrop.

Here he is with Deathsleet from bones 1:

Just a slight size differential.

Next we have him with a much larger dragon, T'Raukzul from bones 3:

Still a very substantial size difference, and there is a lot more substance to Argent. Still, they are probably pretty close in length at least.

Finally, Viridius, also from bones 3:

I had trouble dry assembling, the wings didn't want to stay on. He has a sort of Godzilla vibe going on without wings. He looks angry...oh no, are they going to fight?!?!

No! Look, Argent healed his wing, and now they are friends! They are hugging!

Seeing all the unassembled, unpainted dragons from previous bones projects, it's probably not hard to figure out why I skipped most of the dragons this time around. I couldn't skip the king of dragons though.

You switched Viridius and T'Raukzul, the last one is T'raukzul not Viridius who's in the middle pic.

i do wish argent was bigger :( he's great but still small :P   . will paint him up as Bahamut.  Maybe modify the head a bit to fit more in line with D&D Bahamut art/dragon head design.

The real trick with Argent is figuring out how to paint Platinum in a way that doesn't just look like Silver...white-gold-vs-silver-vs-platinum-wwwpixsharkcom-white-gold-vs-platinum-ring-l-83a0547295f0b451.jpg.3c106729342d4a5d85ac28ebbf882f31.jpg

if you polish any white metal enough, it's probably going to look silvery.

I think platinum should have a kind of tarnished look with a touch of purple in the shadows.

Thank you for these pictures of Argent! I'm in wave 14, with all 3 missing items so I'll be very last, however I'll post size comparisons of a (hopefully painted) Argent with T'raukzul, Ma'al, and others in a month or so.

Ideally?  well 18 inches tall would be nice. I have stuff thats 2 ft tall, 3+ ft long, etc.

Like GW Smaug (if it was extended, it would be over 3 ft long), the forgeworld dragons by Daniel Cockersell (before he left Forgeworld), etc.  since true scale is never going to happen (not really possible for models), it be nice to be as epic as possible :)

Regards,

Sanjay

Could do a bit more blues and purples in it - silver is neutral, while platinum looks cooler. But no matter what you do, it will likely look like silver unless there is some silver nearby (that would obviously be silver), due to how our eyes interpret color.

Logistically it makes sense to try to fix any systemic issues prior to boxing up the next 16,000 orders. It did seem like a few people were having paint issues, flight stands missing, and single packs of dungeon tiles. Those and any other systemic things can be fixed easier and cheaper now then later. If thats the case i just wish they'd communicate that

As was eloquently stated yesterday around page 938-940; Reaper really needs a person dedicated to social media presence.

All hands on deck for warehouse work doesn't seem to be cutting it.

Any pics of my pretties, the leeches floating around?

I'm oddly proud of those guys - they're certainly not the most glamorous sculpts or spectacular creatures (or even my best technical work), but, man, they are going to be a blast and a breeze to paint.

Not to mention the playability; I bet they hit game tables more than anything I've ever made. I sure hope they make for some fun moments.

I see you already got a pic. Mine are in the painting queue for the next week. I have a battle coming up where I need a couple "giant water snakes". These look like good water snakes for me. I'm a little short on giant snakes.

Someone else in the comments mentioned a paint packing mistake. Have you contacted Reaper so they know of this problem and can correct it before USA shipments go out?

That does not not seem like a likely or practical course of action, as notices from problems will be coming in from Canadians for the next couple months and in the meantime the Rest of World orders will start arriving with their errors. I also know some Canadians are waiting for all orders to ship before bothering Reaper with their problems. So unless they let the Canadians know this plan there will be folks waiting indefinitely.

I was going to wait like Chris said but maybe I should be telling them about the paints. I'm sure they already know but still... It'll be a week or more before I can give everything more than a quick look to confirm I have it.

First minis are already painted. #2 son did the giant maggots last night while I was still pawing through things. He saw them and said, "hey those look like babies of the one I painted (carrion worm)."
