Dang it, Rob!!    This appeals to me on too many levels...::P:

We'll need to talk next weekend...

Yup, no problem.  If you paint an army, they'll be on the table that much sooner... ::D:

We just bought a Lebeda mattress, it will be delivered on Tuesday.  Really looking forward to sleeping on it.

Between this and the recent vacation to the Black Hills, the credit card bill will hurt a bit.

Oops.

Free RPG Day was seen as sufficient excuse to prowl gaming stores (and other suitable locations) for the purpose of scouting new places to play...

And as a result, we have acquired... tea, because tea is awesome (and they might have space for us! Yay!)

Citadel paints *hackphooey*, including Agrax Earthshade, two pots of 'Contrast'; Shyish Purple and Ork Flesh, and a pot of Sycorax Bronze. I also grabbed a pot of 'Ard coat to play with., and a pot of P3's Deathless Metal.

And, because that wasn't enough, I also nobbled the Young Green and Young Copper Dragons, and some piles of treasure. Oops. >.>

Oh, yes. And a good pile of Free RPG Day materials. The new goblin adventure is lolsnrt

I was also out for gaming on free RPG day.  Went to game store called The Source in St Paul. Really nice store and so I acquired a few things:

A wiz kids beholder (surprise!)

Some wizkids crossbow rangers (destined for frostgrave)

4 citadel contrast shades (just released today)

Some army painter rugged tufts

The ravensburger game El Dorado

And some additional birthday presents for my son and niece .

And I actually got to play a game of 5th ed Did.

Overall it was a great day!

I was searching eBay on my quest to find the Stonehaven Troll Mage and found a lot of their giants and trolls for $80

At least half of them are going to be given away or sold again, but I couldn't resist the deal for the ones I did want

This is awesome! There are a few in there that I missed out on and am kind of jealous for.

Lots of stuff from Origins: Century Golem Edition, Roll Player and its expansion, Boss Monster 3, Tiny Epic Galaxies, a Game Topper table mat, dice, and a nice bag for carrying board games:

Just finished going through our Origins acquisitions. We may have overdone it a bit this year. First up are our new game acquisitions. Some were impulse buys. Some were bought after demoing them. And a couple were just given to us.

And here are my miniature purchases. It was a shame Reaper had zero presence there this year. I really miss the $1 Bones gumball machine. But I ended up with a bunch of stuff from GF9, Acheson, Iron Wind, Tomb Guardians, Low Life, and a neat little Mars Rover. We also ended up with enough 3d printed boars from a GM group that I now have a nice little dire boar herd.

I also ended up getting some of that wooden cut-out scenery. Never tried it before so looking forward to that.

And, of course, we ended up with a whole stack of promos, stickers, pins, dice, pint glasses, bubbles and other random miscellany.

Good time, just like every year, but I'm almost dreading doing the annual post-convention budget session!

Once again the evil @Erifnogard has taken WOOF's HQ by surprise!

In the mail today I got a bottle of UV resin gel and an UV flashlight.

I'm pretty sure he wants me to create another water base with this!

Thx buddy!

Awesome to find something like that when you get home!

ALL the goblin adventures are lolsnrt.

This year made the sixth consecutive commemorative die. Dances with Mouselings threatens to make a special dicebag for them.

Why does it keep getting earlier by (nearly) a day (nearly) every year?

I had the THIRD edition of STRPG; it didn't include the Enterprise blueprints, and had counters to represent Enterprise crewmen, Klingons, and Romulans, and had a stripped down combat system (so they could sell you the real one separate.)

The second edition shown here lacked the crew counters, but came with the complete Starship Combat system. What's worse, someone played the hell out of this particular box and left his ship recognition manuals in it ... Federation, Klingon, and Romulan. So it was an even better deal.

I never had the Black Box D&D starter. I've always wanted it, though, since I found out that it was apparently the result of a survey taken by TSR, and they decided to go with this "educational approach" to learning the game. It includes a rulebook, but there is also a file folder with these individually numbered CARDS, filed by color, each color corresponding to a particular aspect of the game. You're supposed to read and digest the cards one at a time to avoid being overwhelmed by the kaboosh of it all ... a valid teaching theory, particularly when dealing with a certain kind of student.

I was stunned to see that the file folder was inside, and it still HAD every single card. Hell, the previous owner even managed to hang onto all the little cut out foldout cardboard figures that came with the game, although more than half of them are punched. It was missing a couple dice and the blow in ad fliers, is all.

I'm guessing it's because they keep moving the weekends. When will we go to that newfangled METRIC calendar, like the Europeans?
