@paintybeard please share how those paints behave!

I'm interested if they work when applied with a brush.

I have those paints, and they're supposed to be usable with a brush if you apply it in many thin layers.

I never managed to get it right, though.

(I haven't tried airbrushing with them yet)

Reaper loot came in.... and there was a swag pen added!

The Elder Forge Kickstarter item "Magic the Flame" arrived. It is gorgeous... and will need assembly.

And the DS Game of Thrones characters arrived. I couldn't resist. I am weak.

 If anybody's looking for classic Grenadier stuff, there's an ebay seller named jenduane who's doing a pretty sizable dump of some really decent lots. They're charging a lot for the shipping to make up for the low starting bids, but they've got some good stuff - including most of the Monster Manuscripts sets...

If you don't end up getting stuck in a bidding war for them they're definitely worth making a play for.

I always love the random Reaper naming convention breaks.  Usually you have "Sir Generica, Noble Fighter" or such, or a monster name.  But sometimes, just sometimes...you get "Viking Girl"

I also adore the packages labeled "1/2 Orc" or "1/2 Elf" to save space.

Was wondering about this at the FLGS yesterday. They had two blisters of Bones zombies, one labeled “Zombies (3)” and one “Zombie George (3)”.

Still not sure who George the Zombie is.

@SamuraiJack

I haven't seen those Deathking's Cabal minis from Mantic. Looking at the case, they're older. Looking up pictures of them, they're from 2010. And not bad looking. The jumping necromancer is a bit weird, I think. Just an interesting choice. But the rest of them are pretty sweet, if somewhat more standard.

The Undead Warhost is also an older set. It's a 1st edition Kings of War starter force. It's probably going to have a regiment of skeletons, a regiment of zombies, a troop of either revenants or mummies, and a catapult if it's anything like the Elves Warhost I bought a while back. Good thing about it is that the Mantic Undead, at least the original hard plastic stuff, are some nice sculpts. The mummies and things that came later in Restic aren't that great, but the skeletons, revenants, and zombies are pretty dang nice.

And when you say a friend was cleaning out his closet of shame, is this the same friend you told me about at Pennsic, who has a butt-ton of GW stuff that they've won over the years in tournaments which has been collecting dust for like a decade? Because that's the kind of closet of shame I'd love to have a free run at...
