(EDIT: forgot the first part of the post that's actually pertinent to this thread, lol.)

Just picked up a bottle of unmarked medium brown paint from the Goodwill, looks to be a really nice flesh tone...

Vaguely related to that...

Interesting essay about how Homer and the ancient Greeks viewed color, and how it applied to race...

I really appreciate the the term 'Sister Mart'.

You are welcome. Happy painting!

*sigh* I am just too nice for this world.

Oh goodness, I turned you into a hilarious typo! But you are now SisterMart, purveyor of washing machines and miniatures!

Got those small pools (they are about 1 inch in diameter) from the Wizkids Pools & Pillars box set today. The Stonehaven gremlin stranger came yesterday (definitely will be a gunslinger pregen for We Be Goblins!!) & picked up the pirate duo from the Deep Cuts line yesterday as well! I picked that one for the male but the female figure has potential.

Acquired working playpen for the dragon. The dragon enjoys it.

Acquired a harness and leash for the dragon. The harness doesn't really fit him - he's too prickly really. He does not approve and wiggles out of it. Then he tried to crawl onto my head, using his claws.

I know you're referring to a bearded dragon, but...  Dragons prefer being free range, and close-ish to their natural elements.  Also, trying to put a leash or harness on them isn't recommended once they've learned to use breath weapons... :p

But the reward is you get to wear a dragon for a HAT!  there are people would want to be you around here, even with the blood trickling from the stairway to cranium

That's why you train them when they are young.  Then they are used to it and dont consider it unusual when they grow up...

It may not be a mini, but I made this today!

I tried the harness on him when he was lazy and derpy after having playpen time, so he wasn't being poorly behaved. I think he was confused by it mostly, but it really just didn't fit him well. Hard to find one that does fit him and his prickles!

Today we swung by toys r us to see how their closing sale was going. I was disappointed that all the madame Alexander fan girls Black Panther dolls were gone, but I did pick up a captain America doll at 50% off.

That picture doesn't really do her justice. She is both better looking and weirder than it. Their costume choices were odd, but the clothes are really nice quality and well made.

I also have black widow. They've made iron man and spider Gwen in the same line, but I'm not as interested in them (I don't like iron man and I don't know much about spider Gwen). Like I said, I was really disappointed that they didn't have any of the Black Panther dolls, she was the best one imo. I may have to pick her up elsewhere.

I'm also really hoping they do a Captain Marvel doll. Thor (or Loki) dolls would be fun, as would Gamora and Scarlett Witch.

Whoa, I haven't been in this thread in a long time.

People have been posting a few nicely painted Ebonwrath models in the show off thread lately and it reminded me that I somehow never got around to getting one, even though it's my favorite black dragon mini. I finally took it off the wishlist and moved it to my "please paint me soon" pile. I also nabbed three more Bones 77495 Saproling Warriors to hopefully have enough to run The Sunless Citadel, along with 77441 Ostarzha and 77496  Eilluvasheth. Also got the Gale Force 9 Marsh Blend and Summer 3 Color Clump Foliage Mix for basing, and their Bard 5th Edition Spellbook Cards. I can't wait to paint up Ebonwraith.

Went to reptile rescue at the local reptile shoe and she followed me home... and immediately decided that my keyboard was the perfect place to watch the world from.

Guess I'll be keeping her
