Previously posted but "opposite of huge & bigger then a stall" retail place is having a big sale right now. While I didn't partake in anything miniature (thou you could count one item towards that hobby), I did partake in the rpg part of the hobby:

Vallejo Decal Fix (I've been curious how this brand reacts, thou I wish Medium would have been in stock too....)

val73213.jpg

Eberron Rising from the Last War Alt cover (absolutely love this cover & this is coming from a digital only D&D 5e book person! It doesn't hurt that the map is the same price (albeit a deluxe version) but yah I got it really for that map inside. ::D:

wocc72870_1.jpg

GF9 Deluxe Avernus map (23"x15"). Players are playing the Avernus AL series every couple weeks so figured, they'll need this. I had the Baldur's Gate one but they are only there for the next 3 adventures, so I print off I found is good for that part.

Dice!

Turn One Space Invaders D6 x6

One of those items I keep seeing every time MM has a big sale. Finally pulled the trigger on them + hey nostalgic!

Now the wait......(one reason why I don't order from MM is the shipping time, a tad bit longer then my usual merchants), in the meantime I did place some good size hobby orders earlier this week. I figured get stuff for my weekly games early. Now I just need to put in a spot I can remember.....<_<.

Just remembered I got my latest order in from printermods . Com the other day. It was small, but really nothing I wanted to work with right now.

Ender 3 has a problem with the hot end in that filament can block the opening, this kit will help solve that. Due to there can be a gap between the stock tube

Quoted from Printermods' site:

Spoiler

This is a kit based on Facebook group user Luke Hatfield's hot end fix for Creality printers (more info below).

A super simple, all-in-one kit designed to address the primary design flaw of many Creality factory hot ends by enclosing a piece of high temperature PTFE tubing between the nozzle and bowden coupler. This upgrade is tried and trusted by thousands of users, and is widely considered to be an essential upgrade to a PTFE-lined hotend.

  • Installs in minutes.
  • Allows you to retain your factory PTFE tubing, even for higher temperature filaments (<260°C).
  • Fixes hot end under-extrusion problems and partial clogs.
  • Reduces back pressure in the hot end.
  • Upgraded metal-toothed couplers secure PTFE more firmly.
  • ABS Pro printed spacer won't soften or deform at higher temperatures.

Each kit contains:

(1x) Precisely cut USA-made, high grade PTFE hot end liner
(1x) ABS Pro high temperature printed spacer
(1x) PC4-M10 Metal-tooth Bowden coupler for hot end
(1x) PC4-M6 Metal-tooth Bowden coupler for extruder
(1x) Bowden coupler safety clip

Also the whole stock Chinese wiring burning had me worried when I saw Tom Tullis mention his fix + seeing actual pics of fried XT60 connectors. The wiring is a premium wire with pro crimped space connectors. This will replace the entire setup on a Ender 3.

MUCH HAPPINESS IN YOUR NEW DIGS!

Cap'n John would kill for that little greenhouse.

You can tell the Captain he doesn't need to kill anyone.

It's not a greenhouse, that part is build over a stairs leading to the second cellar.

That cellar is only accessible from the outside, so this part was built over the stairs and it has it's own lockable door.

That cellar has running water, lights and central heating as well and our youngest vixen is delighted to be able to receive her friends there to party / raise hell enjoy a nice cup of tea while playing games.

My Midlam Miniatures, Waylaid by Bandits Vol.2 (all women), came in this week! ::D:

I pledged enough to get Vol.1 (all men, which I missed) included in it.

Ladies first (or else they're gonna beat me up).

And the men,

And the included postcard.

I noticed that the male bandits are all covering their faces, but none of the women are. In a way, the women could either be bandits, part of a militia, or low level adventurers.

So on Weds I'm now a player at the FLGS & we are playing the Storm Lord's Thunder hardback adventure. Currently we are 6th level now. I started off with a half-elf warlock, but in the end I didn't like the feel of the character (eldritch blast is a nice spell, but eh, kinda gets old after a bit), so the next session I brought in a moon elf wizard. I'm glad I swapped as I really like my character.

I have been using a Reaper elf wizard mini but it didn't feel like my character. While looking at a website, Heroforge came up in one of the side ads, I was like hmmm maybe now is the time I'll try them. So I went & designed my character & then bought the stl file for her. While she does have a right "hand of stickiness" with her spellbook, I felt it was right for the character. Best part, no staff!! She is a wizard but she's a elfin wizard, but she doesn't use a staff! Granted I could have just snipped off the staff but it wouldn't have felt right. I debated on putting her shortsword in her hand, but in the end I just went with the book & stuck the sword on her waist. Oddly, she started out with kinda long hair with a braid & she had robes, but I liked the duster but I didn't like the shirt part of it. In the end she is wearing a pirate/swashbuckler jacket (her gloves cut off the cuffs). As you can see I went with a different hair style as well. I love Natalie Dormer's hairstyle in the Hunger games movies so I went with that for my character. I'm not sure if I'll attempt a design in the bare space now thou.

With Heroforge, it makes the mini a bit more personal. It's something I'll look more into the future, if I like the way file prints out. Which I'm in the process now.

I also ordered a couple of stl files from Rocket Pig Games today as well.

Hoping those 2 above files come out great as RPG has some neat files!

So, uhm... Hobby related stuff will be soon (bonus on Friday the 13th can't come soon enough!), but today I did acquire a Casper Hybrid mattress, for a third of the sticker price... I'll be picking it up on Monday, whoo! ^_^

On an unrelated note, hubby now has a PS4 Pro...

Now I have to figure out what storage stuff I'm picking up from Creature Caster, as well as Iron Heart Studios..

Edit: also acquired a new bed frame too, and some new pillows.
