Gadgetman!
Today I got 3 packages... The first, hand-delivered by UPS was the 'Curious case of the Csts of Crumptown' KS reward from Northumbrian. The second package contained a MAP gas torch and canister. (When a regular propane torch just won't do.... MAP gas torches can hit 2400degrees C) And the third contained a spacer block, parallell bars, a chuck to hold drill-bits, a slitting saw holder and a couple of sawblades. (two 2" circular saw blades, 0.01" and 0.016" thick... Probably some of the more dangerous tools I've bought, yet), all to fit the Sherline mill.
Marvin
Mail call. I actually bought minis for a change, so let's lead with them: Remorhaz! I love these guys for some reason. Got it because I thought it'd be a fun piece to have sitting around, so hopefully I follow through and actually get it painted. The dragonborn were for just because I don't have a lot of dragonborn minis, I dunno. And then some bases, as if I don't already have an endless stockpile of bases for the minis I'm not painting: And most ridiculously, some green stuff, because I decided I'd really like to make some bases with those stamp pads I got and have never used to make bases for the minis I'm not painted: Expanding the map tile collection: Some dice for me, like I don't have enough, but ngl I absolutely love these, the way the colors swirl: And then these two sets are candidates to go in care packages I'm assembling for my OG D&D crew: Trying to decide if that speckled set is acceptable for a gift. Do they look too cheap? I wasn't going for expensive dice, these are a lesser part of the gift, but I'm not particularly drawn to that style personally, usually, so I'm worried they're too simple-looking. Please advise, dice aficionados. Edited June 22, 2020 by Marvin
Jasper_the_2nd
Pretty dice.....nice!!! I received another unit of Stormtroopers yesterday as part of my Father's Day haul. And I received my shipping notice for "the 'Curious case of the Cats of Crumptown' KS reward from Northumbrian."

Please advise, dice aficionados. I've always liked the Speckled line from Chessex. I think there is one called Camo or Urban or something in that line that I really like. I should get that set again. Does your friend like the color/combo? If so I think it would be a great gift. Comparison, for Christmas & for our Year End game event at the FLGS this New Year's I picked up those multiple sets of Chinese dice for cheap on Amazon. My players loved em. What the kids got me for Father's day: It's ceramic or something. Part of my growing army.
Auberon
My Reaper order arrived today. Most of it is a secret due to the summer exchange (not sure which one I'll decide to paint), but for myself I got: Hanei, Female Warrior (free) 2007RC Sci-fi Sophie Boerogg Blackrime - my first Reaper resin mini. The casting looks nice. Fewer Bones, more resin!

Good to know they're liked! We haven't gamed together in person in years, so I've no idea how their dice proclivities run these days. Just wanna have something that'll be okay and match up with the Wyrmwood boxes I'm getting all right. I usually do pretty well with Chessex. I've got a ton of Chinese dice of that sort--they look great, but what I rolled of them seemed not to do so well w/r/t randomness. But such is life when ordering overseas. I've got some stuff coming from the d20 Collective or whatnot, and I've no idea what to expect from them.
WhiteWulfe
Acquired new glue, of two varieties. Something about putting a bunch of things together using up my wood glue, and I ran out of superglue after assembling all of those Haqq and Ariadna minis...

So much better than my knife I've had since school. I think that one may just need some sharpening but I'm absolutely /loving/ the new one.
Talae
Artemis is our first family dog. He is a German Shepard/Shar Pei mix. I grew up with dogs, but this rescue is our first and we are excited to have him. It has been a week and a half or so, but this guy has been great to have around. My 9 y.o. daughter might be the most excited out of all of us.
