It took a moment for my brain to realize that that was NOT a tub of ice cream...."try our new Desert Sand, the texture takes some getting used to but we guarantee it will stick to the cone"....

Great minds think alike.

Picked up a pair of 'Level 2' kneepads today.

I honestly had no idea that there was ny real rating for kneepads, except for 'junk' and 'usable'...

(I hurt my right knee earlier this week when kneeling onto something hard on a floor, and since I expect I have to kneel a bit in order to finish painting my verandah railings, I need pads)

I'm getting concerned about how many 'liked' that I hurt myself...

Incidentally, do NOT scratch yourself anywhere sensitive after rubbing sore parts with Tiger Balm... At least not before you've thoroughly washed your hands...

I'm laughing because I have done that with pepper spray...

Yeah, I've done that with various things at times. When I'm working proper hand washing isn't always possible and it's easy to forget you have irritants on your hands. I'm pretty good about not touching my eyes but other places sometimes...

And by “thoroughly washed your hands”, you mean, washed them at least 20 times, because that stuff lingers.

WOOO!!!!

Just was informed by Noble Knight Games that they had acquired a copy of my War Eagle that I had from Ral Partha back in the day.  My version has been beat to ... well, you know.  I ordered it and it is on its way!

Mind you the actual pose of this bird is in flight with its tail attached to a rock tip.  It's real lead-based metal so the heavy structure of the bird eventually bends the tail of the bird downward.

This time the bird is getting some reinforcement and I have backup pieces to utilize if needed.  I could even make it a two-headed war eagle.

I also have the original rider.  This version is missing his spear.  Mine is not.

I really loved this miniature when I got it back in the late 80s and wanted to do it justice but the skill to build it wasn't there at the time and the resources to learn (the Interwebs) was not yet available.

So, now I have a second chance.

As I said earlier ...

WOOO!!!!

I laugh because a lot of us have been there and I know the feeling well.  I also know the sensation of knowing I have done something amazingly stupid just moments before the pain sets in!

You forget that you're wearing gloves because of hot peppers only ONCE, in my experience....

I placed some scenery & supply orders last week. The first one from Scenic Express just arrived with some Siflor extra long summer & late summer tufts along with a big box of California Golden Rod:

Some additional grasses from Noble Knight should arrive on Monday...is there no end to the excitement?
