One of the TBMF/LAF Fellows, quidamcorvus, did a review on some new(for me) scenicing material from a company named Gamer's Grass.

The stuff looked & sounded great. SO I checked to see if Noble Knight carried it; they did AND what I ordered arrived just now:

Green Shrub(2)

Green Meadow(1)

Dry Green-Wild(2)

Strong Green XL(1)

Yellow Flowers(1)

The stuff looks even better in person. I will be ordering more when N.K. restocks.

I'd seen a few references to those, and they look great!  I'm going to have to find who carries them up here and order some once it warms up a bit since I'll likely order some paint as well.  (Never mind that I haven't used any of the paint I ordered BEFORE it got cold .....:poke:).

My resin arrived. And I went to the flgs.  So:

I normally go with Elegoo resin, but there is very little available up here right now.  I've used Anycubic clear before, so figured I'd give their grey a try.

I'd ordered 6 more packs of the small sleeves for SW Legion cards and they were in, plus I spotted another Landspeeder so figured I might as well snag it now.  They are a bit of a pain in that you really need to paint before you finish assembly (I'm mostly just assembling Rebels for now so my wife can play them) so I figured I might as well get the second one to do them both at once.

And of course the replacement screen I'd mentioned before.

^So. It. Begins.

Or we will just go with a nice upgrade to my gaming rig.  4770k with 16GB of DDR3-2400 becomes a 10600k with 32GB of DDR4-3200 and an m.2 drive for the operating system.  Nice and responsive, and has the benefit of being able to handle a lot more of what I throw at it.  Word is I'll see something like a 65-70% gain in minimum 1% as well as average frame rates (well, at least at 1080p, I suspect at 1440p results will be not quite as high but still nice), so I'm not going to complain on that front.  Doubly so since my rig has breathing room to actually work now.

And for hobbying related, four MG (Master Grade, aka 1/100 scale) Gundam kits are on the way, alongside a whooooole bunch of tools and decals...  And one resin conversion kit.   I'd list it all out, but I'm currently on mobile.  Let's just say there's sanding, carving/scribing tools, two sets of nippers, something like half a dozen decals, and various other tools I've wanted to get my paws on.

@Citrine good luck!

Hope everything will be fine.

Thanks, I tried starting earlier, and drinking smaller amounts each time.  I also chilled the liquid.  All that helped me get 90% of it down last night without the nausea I have experienced in the past.  Going to finish the rest this morning.

Final acquisition yesterday was my 2nd big river order this week (of course daughter send me a text asking for something for her cosplay costume....sigh):

80mm fan grill

Dice tower/transport

(The lid is under. Fits like a shoebox. The 4 dice are slots for sets. The lid is also lined with felt.)

Very happy with this purchase.  Dice rolls are nice & quiet now.

We went to dinner at our favorite spot in town, Fiesta Guadalajara, tonight. I needed some more glue so I stopped in at the hobby store. I'm gonna give BSI a try again..

FLGS is a 2 store down, so I stopped in a picked up the Nolzur's Bodaks while waiting for my wife who was at a store she likes going too.

I'm having cell connection problems with texts & such so while eating I get this barrage of texts & one was from one of the owners of FLGS. So back I went to pick up the Blood Bowl mini. This is my first miniature purchase from GW since they went to finecast.

If you look closely,  you'll see why I bought it. ::D:

How to get in trouble with hubby....

20210312_164628.thumb.jpg.4069a545eb876514e92ee4687f040165.jpg

^ I was supposedly only going to get the Gunner Zaku Warrior (Lunamaria Hawke Custom) and the Gouf 2.0.  For reasons unknown to me, I really really, REALLY want an MG Ball Ver.Ka.  It's a cute little thing...

^XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro graphic tablet for said hubby, as well as an extra glove.  Ever since the box was opened, it's been rather difficult to pry him away from said tablet, so I suspect he likes it.  He's been wanting a graphical tablet to learn how to draw and whatnot, as he prefers the idea of digital.  Even better was the big river site (of doom) had a nice $150 off coupon for the tablet!

I also ordered an MG Polypod Ball, aka the P-Bandai spider-crawler like MG Ball.

So looking for some double sided tape (see 3d printing for more info....) I thought maybe I saw it under my computer cause it seems like everything nonhobbies goes there lately. I come across a sealed UK small shipping box & I notice the logo on it Bears Head Miniatures.

Well now! I knew my last KS stuff shipped from Phillip but figured it was caught up in COVID shipping. Someone in the family must have got the mail that day & stuck it in my chair (which my son sits sometimes & he just moves stuff wherever)  or it got put there. Postmark 1-15-21.

Anyways, KS goodies!

I got a (very) late Christmas present from my housemate in the form of this adorable little triceratops bag  It went AWOL in transit from the US in late November, then randomly appeared at the weekend. As an apology for the lateness, I also got an awesome book, Red 67. It includes 67 essays and pieces of art portraying 67 UK bird species on the endangered species list. All profits go to projects that help the species involved.

Here's a couple of the entries, for Merlins and Golden Orioles. I've been lucky to see the former, but never the latter.

After a while of trying, I appear to have succeeded in acquiring a Playstation 5 for hubby.  I say appear because Amazon hasn't charged my credit card yet.

Correction.  Card just got billed, WHOO FINALLY!
