I swear this stuff always comes in rapid succession.

My order from EM4 miniatures came in today, which I HAD to put in after I saw they restocked their serpentfolk. Ordered one of each model (5 in total), plus a few extra plastic orcs (one swordsman, one archer and two spearmen), along with a solitary dward axeman. Rounded out the order with a wood elf swordsman originally from Grenadier (great celtic look to this guy, love him) and their two unpainted Elfsera pieces, a direwolf/werewolf/hellhound (he's described differently wherever I look!) and a not-Beholder.

I do hope they stock up on more of their Elfsera molds but unpainted.

I've been busy and haven't had a chance to post about it here.  But a little while ago I finally succeeded in acquiring one of my Holy Grail minis!  Technically it's multiple.  One of my very first posts on the forums was about finding good leonin minis. I've had my sights on the discontinued Khalimane Republic faction from Alkemy. It seems sets are still sold in France, but are pricy to find in the US which is wild because a few years ago they were going for a steal on Clearance.  Finally found a seller who had a collection, including a few assembled and half-painted and got a decent collection for an absolute bargain!  (well compared to the few going online prices).

Now to find some of those pesky discontinued CMON minis...

Well, have some things incoming from family for an early birthday thing.

Acquisitions Incorporated, Tomb of Annihalation, and the Rick & Morty D&D boxed set...the last was more of a last minute replacement for the Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting book that was on my initial list about a month and a half ago while the price went sky high over the past few weeks since I think the last places ran out of stock on it (I'm not going with a starting bid of $250 or a buy on eBay and Amazon of $400), but it's the only boxed set I don't have.

I do have a potential lead on getting one locally if they still have it at one store though.

Good news, then! The Critical Role team is going to release an expanded re-release (double the page count supposedly) under their personal publishing arm, Darrington Press.

Got a couple pounds of Chessex eh.

Full set in each was from the same batch, but otherwise I didn't get burned by getting two at once. Not a lot of overlap beyond those delightfully loud yellow-and-red pipped d6s.

First bag was especially heavy on d10s:

9 d4

13 d6 w/ pips

17 d6

16 d8

28 d10

3 d%

2 d12

11 d20

99 total dice plus the set.

Bag 2 felt a bit more evenly distributed, but really I guess the d6s ate up a lot of the shift:

8 d4

10 d6 w/ pips

25 d6

8 d8

20 d10

2 d%

5 d12

16 d20

94 total dice plus the set.

Not too bad, I don't think. Now the hunt begins for just the right glass vase-type instrument into which to pour them so they can look pretty on the shelf.

Yeah, though the background stuff is being shifted which is another thing for having both.

One of the main reasons I wanted to get it is due to a friend who owns the book getting transferred and needs his copy back that I was using for a game I was running.

Swung by the f(ns)lgs this afternoon, saw their new location for the first time. It was purty nice. Got stuff:

First time buying Magic cards since about 1995 lol (or, well, bought a Commander deck a few years ago but never played, so never mind that).

It was a lot of cards! I found it kind of tiresome just opening them all up and digging through.

Anyway, was gonna share the cards that really stood out to me--I have no idea which are actually good; I've just been enjoying looking at the art and seeing old-favorite monsters &c. in weird context--but then I remembered I can't get the spoiler tags to work on mobile, so. Here's a portion. Still probably too many, sorry lol.

"Pics sniped"

Love the classic adventure covers. I know Wayne Reynolds has one "Lair of the hydra"

Good set, if I was into MtG, I'd be all over this one, but I'll just listen to the stories from players at the FLGS. Only thing MtG I collect are squirrel themed cards.

Ordered a decent stack of decal sheets from Delpi Decals.  I have a few kits that need sheets, and others that I took one look at the DL Decals and went "yeah, no, I wish they had said in the description these were shiny metal ones".

On one hand, I'll have some gorgeous blue holographic ones for my RG Unicorn Perfectibility (Gundam Base Edition) kit, and something like fifteen others too...  On the other, there's a part of me that is wishing I had picked up the holo ones for the Bugu, but Ramba Ral just doesn't seem like that kind of guy to me, so I got the "plain" ones for that suit.

I just hope the bill from FedEx isn't too much, although I suspect it will be around $15-20 despite only being about $100 CAD worth of decals (yay for processing fees!)
