Ooh, I like those stairs.

I really like stairs and similar terrain for some reason, I think there's something wrong with me.

Sephy was fascinated by the stairs on our newly arrived pirate ship (my bones 5 order arrived today). She’s enthralled by the ship. Also had a hard time getting her out of the box.

Wow, the Curse of the Pharaoh is amazing and so is the female necromancer.

Mirico did a limited run of the 75mm Queen Alyra of 107 pieces.. (thats how many passed QC out of 115 I think) there are still some copies available at Lilliput Miniatures.. the out of print bust of her from Mirico is the last resin piece on my bucket list

Got this black box in the post today...

It's a battery-powered spot welder, for as you may guess... batteries...

The round thing is a CR2025 that was volunteered to be welded on.

And that means that this one:

is history.

Yeah, that's also a spot welder for batteries.

I never really liked it, and the lack of leads(You had to hold the battery and nickel strips up to the electrodes on the front) made it just too cumbersome to use, so it has mostly gathered dust.

Note that while it was common to solder on Alcalines, Ni-Cads and even the occasional Ni-mh cell, doing so on a Lithium-based cell is asking for flames and toxic smoke. And probably a severe scolding from the fire department.

Got my Bones V yesterday. It arrived Monday but I was gone and Tuesday too busy to go pick it up at the post office. Was so tired late afternoon that I only did a cursory paw through. To be honest this was the least exciting package I've gotten. Not because there's anything wrong with the minis. They are incredible quality compared to earlier Bones and I really like a lot of them. Just in a my normal mid summer gaming slump and have no big plans for anything right now. Too much other stuff happening. But at least I'm very well stocked for when I get painting again. Not that I was short of minis before.

Even before my Bones 5 arrived, I knew I'd have a storage problem. Fortunately, my hardware store next door (Canadian Tire) had these small storage towers on sale.

So I got two of them. Save for the pirate ship, all of the minis will fit. It's a little cheap on build quality, but for pure Bones, it's good enough.

I got Moritorus from Citadel's old Lords of Battle sets, with a shield to boot, so that was cool. That makes four serpenty knights acquired now in an attempt to get a good visual representation of a unique NPC in my setting. He's probably the best candidate thanks to that Citadel sculpt style but sadly they're still all 25mm miniatures so they'll always look puny next to modern pieces. 😆

Just be careful not to leave the drawers open, it will bend the plastic frames.
