Marvin
I didn't get enough Bones 5 (lol) so ordered some WizKids unpainted. I'm gonna paint I'm really gonna paint I swear it's really gonna happen this time. Been wanting some warforged, and otherwise these just struck my fancy aside from the magi; one on the right is just about right for the half-elven eldritch knight (who just got a fancy one-edged poison-dealing magic sword) I'm running right now. Little disappointed with the faces on these guys tho; don't look as good as I thought I remembered previous ones from these lines looking. Not sure how they'll do up, especially for a limited painter like me. We'll see, reckon. I knew I wasn't getting, like, Reaper quality or anything, so all good. And then grabbed these that are probably going in care packages that I never have gotten sent to friends, oh gosh I'm a horrible friend but hey more goodies at least. The dual-sword wielding elf is a particularly great fit for one of my buddy's OG character. Also got me the play mat for which I actually was looking the other day; already thrown it down on the table for decoration lol. Love that art.
Evilhalfling
I had to run by the gaming store to pick up some stuff I accidentally left there, - why not pick up some cattle and a standing mirror? I got home to find surprise delivery of swag box. Love the packaging btw. number of bones 5 painted: 5 terrain pieces 6 figures. I mean it’s a good start, but it will be a while before anything from today gets painted.

BlazingTornado
I got my replacement Icks today and while he hasn't broken at the waist, I still can't hack away at the slot in the base enough to get the tab to actually fit. Is that normal? You'd think with both the mini and the base being by the same manufacturer they'd be made to fit?

I've had metal minis from Reaper where the tab part of the mini was too thick for their plastic slot bases. I can understand length being a problem, but thickness? IIRC, I think I used a dremel & sanded it down so it'd fit.

See I'm unfathomably clumsy so I don't like using things like rotary tools unless necessary which is why I've been using a hobby knife instead. No active motor means I only have to worry about my shaky hands and not my shaky hands AND a motorized tool's vibration... EDIT: Ever have problems with the height of a tab? That's what I have with the em4 werewolf/direwolf/hellhound mini. Edited July 31, 2021 by BlazingTornado
SparrowMarie
Got lots of Bones V this last week. As well as my Swag Box. And I just ordered another mini (Hanei, Female Warrior). I'm sure I've gotten other things but those are the ones that currently stand out.

That's what I have with the em4 werewolf/direwolf/hellhound mini. Yah, I've had problems with those two, sadly allot of Warlord (Reaper) figures. It's almost like the figure was sculpted then the tab was added on as a afterthought on some figures. I tend to just trim those with flush cutters & no worries after that + metal bits for the melt bucket to bring down to RCon each year I go. How are those em4 figs? I saw them online & thought the price looked pretty good, but at that price you kinda wonder about the hit or miss quality. Not a whole lot purchased this week (well I have order coming early next week) but what I have in hand I got from my FLGS Weds night: Wizkids Deep Cuts Sabertooth Tiger (free using my store points, since I won't be gaining anymore after last Weds due to I will be running a game again there) Will be used in my Saturday game, Possibly this weekend (I need to review the upcoming adventure). This thing is huge! (it's a large creature but it takes up every available space on that circle) They are large in 5e & I know the actual creature was a big critter but I feel like Wizkids got this one wrong (kinda like their Otyugh....ugh). It's a nice mini for what it is, gonna love the reaction when the party is beset by animals in a city square!! 2 hours ago, SparrowMarie said: Got lots of Bones V this last week. Funny, for some we've waited for a big box of minis to arrive & we get "hit" twice in a couple weeks for it. Mine suppose to be here Thursday (I think, sometime next week).

But it's good. The plastic uses on the old Fantasy Warriors orcs and dwarves is stiff and solid, they have mold lines and a round peg coming out their backs where the injection point is, but that was a thing present on the original Grenadier board game. The metal minis are also solid, the only proper issues I had with em after a few orders have been the Elfsera Beholder's tab for the slotted base being a bit warped (pressue with some pliers straightened it out) and the aforementionned too high tab for the base for the Elfsera canine creature. Aside from that, the only problem you MIGHT find is that the pieces are all from older companies so the scale is closer to 25mm than 28mm. The Dunwich Detectives serpentmen are the same height as Ral Partha ones, for example.

Corsair
That would make a great mount for a Lashunta.
aku-chan
Despite not really needing more minis at the moment (Seriously, it hasn't even been a fortnight since I got my Bones V stuff), I've had a small splurge. Ordered a pair of Wizkids Female Gnome Bards, never had any interest in the range before, but I've been seeing these two in the 'upcoming releases' list for a while, and I've become somewhat infatuated. Took a step on the slippery slope that is buying 3D printed minis, by ordering a Vampire Hunter. And finally, ordered Malifauxs Jedza Box (I thought I'd accepted that buying Malifaux minis was a waste of time and money, because I don't like painting them, but apparently not).
SotF
Just put in an order for the Tabletop Workshop Medieval Chapel as something that fits the look of a part of my terrain stuff. Wanted it for a while, but still wincing at the price for them now rather than what they used to be.
