Finally showed up almost a whole month after the expected delivery date, but I now have a near-complete box set of Ral Partha's 10-509 The New Dungeon! miniatures. It's missing two figures, but they were both from the 3-stage character sets and still in production, so I can easily fill in the figures I'm missing..

And the set is soon to be complete - I already had an extra copy of one of the figures from collecting the 3-stage characters, and found the other one for under $5 from an online seller.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhh!!

We've been so busy, but I wanted to take a break to show y'all!!! Mr Rumbeard surprised me with a HUGE print of one of my favorite figures this morning. I'm so exciteeeeeeed!  Makes all this no sleep for two weeks worth it haha!

This is normally a 56mm figure from Cast n Play. He printed her for me at almost 150mm, over 5 inches tall.  We've resized stuff for orders before, but it's rarely such a huge scale difference like this.

Ahhhhhh!!

I have a HP ProBook 445 G7... It had 8GB RAM... It worked for lots of things...

But... That's one 8GB RAM module. Working single-channel.

Something the Radeon graphics isn't very fond of. At all.

Today, it got an upgrade... 32GB of sweet DDR4 3200MHz RAM in the form of 2 x 16GB modules.

Dual channel here we come!

I can now actually run some games with decent graphics.

So two weeks ago I turned 50 years old. Last Thursday, I finally got to see my family and some of my relatives after 18 months.

So I got a bunch of extra fancy gifts:

Some upper scale local products:

Bison terrine; apple butter; and homemade ketchup from a local abbey that still has ~fifty monks.

A bottle of wine from my aunts. Château Tour Peyronneau Saint-Emilion, Grand Cru, 2016

Fro my brother: Islay single malt scotch whisky

From my mother, after consulting with one of my cousins who's a Scotch aficionado.

Mortlachm distillery: Game of Thrones, Six Kingdoms 15 Year Old.

(Guess it's time to pick up a new drinking habit.)

And the crown gift, from my 14 year old goddaughter (and only niece):

Spoiler

I got MANGA-fied! ::o::winkthumbs:

Shades of "Star Wars kid", I still instantly recognized myself (mostly from the shirt style).

My niece has a friend who loves to draw manga, so my image was her first commission. Since they had to work from old pictures, they had to figure out some proportions.

My sister kept insisting on "adding more gut." But then she saw me in person after so long, and not realizing I lost so much weight, she thought "ELF! HE SLIMMED DOWN!"

I just couldn't stay away...

Just ordered the 54mm metal mini of Commander Trond Bolle.

303_Trond_Bolle_boks_900x.thumb.jpg.199f5b208344cf012988686ae3e47091.jpg

It's pretty expensive for a prepaint, but...

It's Trond Bolle.

He was a MarineJaeger(MJK. About equivalent to a US Navy Seal) , a FSK operative(when being a MJK isn't enough. Only the best Jaegers from any branch become FSK), an international spy(E14 section. No you probably haven't heard of it) and back as a Marine when he was killed by an IED in 2010. The first to be awarded(posthumously) with a Warcross with Sword since WWII.

After this, I only miss Captain 'Shetland' Larsen, unless they make a model of Gunnar Sønsteby, that is.

Picked up my Battletech Clan Kickstarter Wave 2 things today. Got a lot of mechs now. I've played Battletech off and on since just after it came out but never had many minis. Went from having a dozen metal mechs from the late 80s to about 150 plastic mechs now. And only a few duplicates.
