Jasper_the_2nd
19 hours ago, haldir said: Ah, the ole "raise prices later" way to acquire things. Curious are the 2 systems compatible with each other (same company, same rules - different rules)? Konflikt '47 was built off of Bolt Action 1st Ed ruleset by Clockwork Goblin. I was told last night that one of the two supplement books for it does upgrade you to the current Bolt Action version 2 rules. I'm not sure of the exact relationship between Clockwork Goblin and Warlord games currently, but basically everything is being sold through Warlord Games now. The starter boxes sold for Konflikt include Bolt Action figures along with "weird" pieces. My German starter box has the same German Grenadiers sprues as come in the standard Bolt Action boxes. Which makes it very easy to expand into from Bolt Action. Basically you can use any of your BA stuff, and then just add in some Zombies, or Werewolves, or swap a Gravity Pulse Cannon on to your Panzer IV, or throw in a big stompy mecha. Bolt Action is completely history based. Konflikt is basically "what would happen if atomic bombs opened rifts and "something" on the other side started feeding tech info through those rifts and the war has continued into 1947 with a new alternate history". I'm really looking forward to trying Konfikt out, once I get the BA rules all down. (still need more games based on how many times we went to the rule book last night)

SparrowMarie
A week or so ago I got new glasses! They are really cool. They are blank frames with magnets and then you add on cool frame tops. The last photo is of the ones that came in today. Edited April 3 by SparrowMarie

My daughter needed some makeup/costume acc for her cosplay & she didn't find what she wanted last Friday, so she had me place a big A River order & of course, if I'm ordering, I'm gonna throw something for myself in the order, so I placed a order for 3x1mm magnets & a new power cord for the LG tv, I got for helping my dad move his dad a couple weeks ago. The magnets will be minis. This is my first time buying these kinda of magnets for this kinda of thing, so I wasn't sure if they would be the right size. Figure since the figure(s) are for ReaperCon, I have time to experiment.

Looks like a fun kit. Most of them are resin, although a few (the white pieces) are ABS if I remember correctly. For Kshatriya, most of the kit is resin, but the sprues/runners are some sort of plastic (I'll have to check the manual to find out what kind of plastic). Both are very much so passion projects that have very much so been on my "I so want to build and paint that" list for a while.
Jasper_the_2nd
Box arrived from Warlord Games today. Some more resin I wanted to get before the price increase. All Konflikt stuff. The other big stompy, the Thor Heavy Panzermech. Not that the King Tiger-X is a lightweight..... And to get to free shipping, the Specialist Medic.
WhiteWulfe
Box of goodies came in... One of my bucket list kits (and arguably a holy grail one at that) as well as a stabbly slicy SHOOTY kit that's reasonably large. So happy to finally have my paws on the Real Grade kit for Shin Matsunaga's Zaku II High Mobility Type. The Trident was a nice bonus, to say the least. Not sure what kit will see it yet.
Jasper_the_2nd
Today was my first day back in the office in over 2 years. So at lunch I wandered over to the FLGS to chat as they'd mentioned they were putting in a new order for Bolt Action and Konflikt '47. While checking what was already in stock I noticed this: Gives me a second, different, machine gun team and mortar team, as well as a few more commander types. This will come in handy as we move to bigger points games in the near future. I also bought a Pop! stormtrooper to decorate my desk, but didn't take a pic. Let me see what I can find..... Not sure why they have a concept Stormtrooper with a lightsaber, but I guess if I bought one.....
Gadgetman!
I got a package from Warhog in Poland yesterday. It contained the latest bust from Ignis Art; Chors. Trust me, the folks casting for Ignis Art REALLY know what they're doing.

SotF
Made a couple stops on the way home. First was the Dollar Tree...needed some superglue and found a few things I wanted as well. They were strangely crowded. Got a few things of superglue, they only had the three packs of the cheap superglue, they had an issue with their shipment according to the workers, one of the boxes got a bit smashed and the managed just had it chucked along with parts of surrounding boxes thanks to it getting everywhere and curing there. They had a 3rd type of fairy house which I grabbed since I enjoyed the others that I've done recently. There was a stone garden pathway piece for fairy gardens as well which I snagged because it looked interesting for scatter. A pack of scouring pads, a friend of mine recently showed off some rather simple but good looking hedges that used them and a few other things to make. I have the other parts, but I'm going to make several for my own table. In their craft area they had house shaped white boards with a wooden frame. They look like they'll work as the ends of a larger house piece and make it sturdier and quicker than cutting the ends. And grabbed one of their easter wooden craft things to paint up, planning to give it to my parents rather than an easter card. And the second stop was ad Jo Anne's because I needed some paint... My mother has an outdoor statue that needs repainting, so I got a pile of outdoor craft paints. I also grabbed the pink and glow in the dark paint for me along with a larger, cheap pallet to use with the project when the weather gets good enough to do it since I don't have a place to try breaking out my airbrush at the moment. The other two greys and the plywood rounds are things for me (one of the rounds is going to be the base for the house), and I grabbed them at Walmart (Along with some light grey primer and a heavy outdoor flat coat varnish spray for the project with the craft paints). The main project is likely going to be something that I'll end up working on when things stay dry and warm for a few days in a row when I can get the statue cleaned off and primed, then it's painting as I go before varnishing on another warm, dry day...

DragonWyrm
I found an old Woodland Scenics Tree set, got it at a discount. The trees are metal and the old logo font is used. Patent Pending Copyright 1975. It looks in nearly mint condition.
