Jasper_the_2nd
A few things came in at the FLGS that I picked up tonight. I ordered the Phase IIs last year sometime. Distributor finally got a restock. And I'd ordered 5 bottle of AP Air Charred Bone. I'm using it for the base colour for my German vehicles for Bolt Action.
Lidless Eye
Finally managed to snag them during a restock. I'm excited to try them out.
WhiteWulfe
Acquired... Well, ordered... (pic borrowed from Shokunin Gunpla, as they're the only ones who have the studio paint job posted in the listing, as far as I can tell) - The51 Dom Tropen resin conversion kit. Yeaaah, totally had to because oh boy, it's a gorgeous kit.. - MG Rick Dom v1.5. (aka 2022 edition) ...Ack,i just realized the Dom 1.5 has more weapons, oh well. World won't end either way, I just won't get the Sturmfausts and machine gun. I'll still have the Raketen Bazooka though. That gorgeous, smexy Bazooka the Dom line was known for carrying (they also carried the Beam Bazooka, but this kit doesn't use such I don't think) Edited May 18 by WhiteWulfe
Evilhalfling
I bought some more elves, ever since I finished the waterlilly clan I kept thinking if I had another set, I would paint another 5 versions of waterlillies. on them. so I found someone on a buy/trade group who didn't want the ones they had gotten from the KS. and I get to pick out 5 more versions. of waterlillies. I was looking and the last 6 versions Monet did went really brightly colored and leaned to expressionist more than impressionist. Cant wait to try one of those out. - it really exciting for me to jump back in to this project. Also in my D&D game, the PCs are interacting with the whole tribe - including the weaver of the cloaks, a fey-pact warlock. She will either need a weapon-swap, or a similar version from reapers normal catalog. https://www.reapermini.com/miniatures/03159 would work best. https://www.reapermini.com/miniatures/30027 would fit in well for the tribes Lorekeeper - or I could repaint the transparent version. so this: will soon join this clan: Edited May 18 by Evilhalfling

I've slapped a few colours on some Dungeon Saga minis today but can't really say much about them yet. So far they seem to do what I expected but want to try out more.

Jasper_the_2nd
Friday I received a small order I'd placed earlier in the week when I opened my last bottle of cement. Figured I'd try the regular Extra Thin as I find the fast drying is often drying too fast when I'm doing something big, like attaching the two halves of a tank hull...... And to get up to free shipping, I grabbed an assortment of Gamers Grass. I need to get to basing my Germans. Then in the afternoon I popped in to the FLGS since part of the latest shipment from Warlord Games was in. The Pioniers I'd ordered. An interesting kit with a lot of different options. I hadn't looked at them originally as they are marked as Early to Mid war, and I was focusing mainly on Late war. But they are also available in Konflikt '47.... even though it takes place AFTER Late war........ The Flack 37 I picked up just because it had been sitting there taunting me for a couple of weeks. And the Eddies were just because.

If anything there is regular liquid cement from Tamiya. I think they may have changed that one to the square bottle as well. The one I have (which sets on a shelf now & it a thick goo) is the old hex bottle kind. Order placed this morning to take advantage of their sale, Knights of Noble order for Army Painter color primers + a mini: Chaotic Red Matte Black Bone Neroli (DHL #2946)
Rob Dean
I’ve been away on business all week. I’m trying to keep purchases down to a reasonable level, so there hasn’t been too much new lately. I got in one vintage Schneider mold making two ~45mm Prussians guardsmen (~1871-1914) to start making semi-flat figures for my next project, 19th century games. Searching the Forum for “home cast” suggests that I’m about the only one here interested in controlling the means of production, comrades?
WhiteWulfe
Acquired: the base kit for previously mentioned Dom Tropen conversion kit, although looking back I wish I'd gotten the Dom as it comes with more weapons, but oh well. The Rick Dom is a neater one, and has the Beam Bazooka! Also acquired: three more action base 5's, as I was getting a bit low (I think I was down to just 5)

Prince August is pretty much your best bet for home casting materials. I tend to not mess with it for metals, more worried about accidents since I've got a few other issues that can create issues.
Gadgetman!
The problem is that you need to use Spincasting or newer tech if you want detail. Also, those old molds were made to be used with Pewter with Lead in it. Pewter without Lead has a higher melting point, and hotter metal wear out the mold faster. And it casuses cancer in floridians. (Pewter with Lead also does that, only faster)
