Had a N scale Kato 2-6-0 locomotive show up today. Normally these go for the cost of a kidney, but I found one that the price was right.

Nice. Locomotives are crazy expensive these days, especially DCC equipped.

I've got an N-scale Kato Amtrak P42 and a three coach set that from Amazon that is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Wasn't going to get it until one of the club members pointed out that the price for the set on Amazon was only $10-20 more than the price of the locomotive alone.

Cost of locomotives is what got me to say "gunpla is cheaper to get into" despite having wanted an N or HO set for ages.

Okay, it's also easier to fit gunpla on a shelf than a HO shelf setup, because it doesn't take long for a 4' wide idea to become 8' wide...

Yeah, that's why I am sticking with a DC layout.

Look at @kristof65s T track thread, T Trak might work for you.

And I forgot to mention the route the locomotive took to get here. Georgia to Nashville, to Memphis, to Little Rock, to Los Angeles [?!?], back to Little Rock and finally here. Los Angeles?

Well we all know how dysfunctional trains have been these past few months.......

Ordered a few weeks ago, picked up at the FLGS before the game, a set of Chessex I don't recall ever seeing online, ha ha:

I think these are them (I left my gaming stuff in my locker at the store). Luminary Sky Silver. The pic shows a solid swirl, but mine had a swirl in them, but it wasn't as solid.

Turbo Dork made a limited edition color for Adepticon this weekend.

On their website, this is the following:

"Limited run for AdeptiCon 2023. Only 1000 bottles made! 800 have gone to the VIG bags at AdeptiCon, 100 bottles are for sale here online, and 100 are for sale in person at the convention. Once these bottles are gone, they are gone.

Each individual is limited to a purchase of no more than 2 bottles."

I broke my own rule of ordering just 1 item, ha ha. Tbh, I've kinda stopped buying TurboDork paints cause I'm not exactly sure which paints I have from them these days. I need to add them to Paint Rack app...eventually.

Ended up on the other side of the city, so picked up a few things at the two hobby stores over there. And my FLGS had a sale on Legion.  Plus had an amazon order for a spool of filament (to fill in while I wait on a big order) and some primer.

Caved into a stl order on Myminifactory yesterday, as I'm waiting for a % off sale, I've had a cart loaded up. I did have some codes for existing Tribes/Patreon I'm part of, so I ended up just gettin those, as the codes expired at the end of the month.

Twin Goddess (one of my favorite stl makers)

She is a gnome druid & she & her bear friend are two seperate minis. I may use the bear later.

Artisan Guild (50% code, so I picked up a set I didn't have). I mainly picked this one up for the modular dwarves with the guns, as the one with the top knot & blunderbuss is perfect for the RCON pregen.

Finally, Cute Loot Minis:

I'm upgrading the grung ranger pregen that I've brought down to RCON for 2 years now.

Went looking for some more of the Star Wars Legion Premium Large Bases.  The FLGS's distributor had them out of stock and the big A had them at silly prices, so they are obviously hard to find right now.  Not sure if this is the "normal" supply chain issues AMG has had with keeping everything in stock at distributors, or if they've stopped making them.  Anyway, found a set at a store in Quebec I've ordered from before.  Of course I had to add a few things to get free shipping, so I added the Commander's Edition rulebook for Alpha Strike, a couple bottles of vallejo's Model Air Tire Black (I've got a lot of vehicles that need their tires painted and saw a reference to this recently), a one of the Scale 75 Prism Effects sets to try them out.

And then popped in to the FLGS today as they finally got their order with Ventress in it.  I also picked up some 9 pocket pages as I want to organize my Alpha Strike card (and at some point I gave all my old pages to the kid for his hockey card collection.....).

Oh, I also picked up the 50L Very Useful Box that they are all sitting on.  That will hold (well is currently holding, but it's not finished) a piece of terrain for Legion, with it's accessories.
