WhiteWulfe
Mischief will happen soon, as well as some experiments and whatnot. Picked up a few more oils for Meirsoa, and some other things, like filling out gaps in a modern palette... I'm especially looking forward to the tube of Permanent Orange, since it has PO73 in it, which is Pyrrole Orange, a rather potent orange that looks very much so to my tastes...
Gadgetman!
Went fishing on sunday(up at 5am... That would normally be the middle of the night, but here... broad daylight...) at my usual spot on the Atlantic Ocean Road... Caught 8 nice mackerels. The elderly gentleman that was also fishing probably got a dozen altogether, and both Pollock and Cod(about 1Kg each of them). His wife didn't know anything about those, and asked me(I'm guessing they were from a former iron curtain country) and the smile when I confirmed that both the pollock and cod was good food. 😉 Almost worth getting up too early for... Unfortunately, the little Red Danger(Citroën Berlingo, first gen) wasn't happy any more. It was coughing and sputtering and running on 3 cylinders on the way home. I think it's the horrid E10 gasoline that did it in. Swapping to a 'known decent' set of plugs didn't help. I went over it from top to bottom with a comb... Webasto fabric sun roof? Only opens, and protests even then. Needs to be manhandled back into closed position. (Can't get parts for it. I've tried) Front windshield? One poorly fixed impact hole from rocks, and thousands of little scratches. Horrifying when driving towards the sun. Indicator stalk doesn't work properly when trying to signal a rightand turn. Front brake rotors are Groovy!, and not in a cool Earthworm Jim way... Rear brakes are drum brakes. Nuff said.. They were fixed a couple of years ago, but they're the old type that must be amnually adjusted... There's a weird overheating issue... Heater box fan only works at full speed.(not a difficult or expensive fix... ) Righthand front passenger window lift... broke recently. Was replaced temporarily with a woodclamp and a block of wood... Something is going on witrh the servo pump... There's a Gremlin hiding in the cabling in the rear. I have ONE working doorlock, and key... The fob for the central locking? I asssume it was killed during the centrifuge stage of washing my pants years ago. It just came to a head... Pulled the plates in frustration, and had a buddy drop them off at the authorities.(they've got a mailslot for plates) On monday I was up at the crack of dawn(Hah!), caught the 8:35 bus into town, then the 10:30 express to Trondheim(arrived 14:30 or so), where I was picked up by a very eager gentleman with a gray car... This car: That's the 2014 Citroën e-Berlingo(yes, fully electric) 3 seater van. It has Aircondition! It has ABS brakes. Even anti-skid! The back of the middle(narrow) seat folds down and can be used for a desk if you're running your business out of your car. (I don't, but there are people who does) But it's an Electric, an OLD electric even, What about 'Range Anxiety'? Not a problem. This one has hardly any range at all! (130Km on a good day, I've been told, or about 80miles for the metrically challenged) Except I realised that I hardly ever drive that far one way, and even driving to work is about 15 miles one way! Also, I oncew had to transport a couch and a tall wardrobe in my old car. It was possible by removing the rear seats, and moving the passenger seat as far forward as possible and tilting it as much as possible. And I had to rub my shoulder against that monstrosity. Getting to the gear lever was a pain. THAT will not be happening with this van. Because removing the back wall is rather illegal. There was some time lost because there was issues with my online ID verification so signing contract, applying for a small loan and signing the eDocument, verify the ownership transfer with the Public Roads Department(does a lot of the same as the us DMV). My fault, really. Should have brought my RSA token with me, but honestly, haven't used that in over a year... But by the time I rolled out of their store, I owned it fair and square. Plates on, temp paperwork in the glow box, and the official ones on the way(got them yesterday) Then I drove to IKEA... The chargers at IKEA in Trondhein didn't work... So I lost a bit of time there... Had to recharge 3 times on the way home, but had enough left for about 40Km when I parked. Had I started in Trondheim with a 100% charge, I might have been able to do it on 2 recharges. At least it's quick to charge it up to 80%, usually less than half an hour. Got home at some time past 3am... (Got delayed by another hour because Google claimed there was a chargher near a ferry dock, and I decided to try topping up... There was no charger. Or it could have been there, but on the grounds of a fish farm, where the public doesn't have access) Had 3 large cans of 'energy drinks' a couple of bottles of Gatorade and even some iced tea that day... Wasn't awake again until half past 1pm on tuesday... But the car was a nice drive... Some time this week I'll order a set of stickers(temporary license plates) for the old one and drive it to the scrappers. (A big reason I pulled the plates on the old is that it resulted in the insurance being halted as soon as the insurance company was notified. Save where you can. The stickers comes with insurance for the day they're valid) Oh, yeah, and in other news, Stuart Semple just announced Black 4.0...
Jasper_the_2nd
Finally had some time to unpack the stuff I bought in Montreal. I usually buy a couple of hats, since most of their shirts and the like seems to be sized towards 5'6" race car drivers..... The Lance Stroll hat was in the pack from the marshaling club (along with one of their hats and some other club swag) so I didn't have to buy that one. I wanted an Aston Martin Alonzo hat, since he's having an amazing year. And Bottas, who is awesome, came out with a Canada specific hat and shirt this year, both blue and black checked. His "Lumberjack Collection". The hat even has ear flaps to fold down! I absolutely HAD to have it. On the Thursday I popped by a couple of hobby stores. Now in Montreal, "popping by a hobby store" involves at least 20 minutes on the Metro and then at least a half hour bus ride. The shops are NOT located anywhere near the area I was staying. First was Ted's Hobby Shop, which is way out west, past the airport. Found a few interesting things there. Then was L'Abyss, which is way out east, and then north a bunch. Finally got my hands on a few Pro Acryl paints!!! And then after, on Monday I wandered by the Warhammer shop on the way back to the room after brunch. And because it took so long to post, I also was at my FLGS last night and picked up some of the new Speedpaint 2.0 now that they got their full rack in. Now I just need to unbury my desk and do some painting with all the new goodies......

Serenity
I made an order to Gnomish Bazaar. They have a wide array of minis on a sale now, many of them Reaper, and some are $1. They carry various Bones plastics, no metal that I've seen, plus other brands (like Wizkids). I ordered minis and some paints. If I remember, I'll update what I ordered when they arrive, but I wanted to post while the sale is still on. I also got some paints. They were a reasonably good deal with 40% off coupon. Golden High Flow is their term for acrylic ink I've been told. I wish all paints came with swatches right on the bottles.
Corsair
A friend in Florida sent me a holster he made, but it wouldn't fit the planned pistol. But, it did fit perfectly a little revolver from 1931!

They carry Reaper but only plastics as far as miniatures go, so you'll never see metal for sale on their site. I've been ordering the "freebie" mini from Reaper from them, but some reason I always place a order a week or two before they can get it for sale. Email sent, & they'll just add it to the order, send me a invoice & away it goes. Orders take no more then 3 days, sometimes I've gotten them in 2. Having a weekly D&D game & if I don't print what I need & they have it, always can count on them to deliver,'' Speaking of their sale, I was going to place a order, but I wanted to know when they were going to get the beefolk in & they responded like an hour after I sent the email & told me they'd expect it when a week or so. They also told me about the sale a couple days before it began. Now that is customer service! Of course once the sale started, I placed the order + a bit more from the sale, ha ha.

Serenity
From Gnomish Bazaar. My SF collection is pretty small, and these were a good deal, mostly $1 a pack. Paints and the H&H set were discounted, but not nearly as much. They packed these in a very small box, 8x8x4 inches, with no room for anything extra. From the day I ordered, Sunday, it took five days to get to my door from El Dorado Hills California. They printed the label on Sunday and pickup was on Monday.

haldir
Green Stuff World order came in today! Mainly ordered for the chrome paint & the card deck holder, but figured I'd try the Dipping Inks as well. Hindsight says I should have ordered a comparable Contrast color, but in the end I went unique colors to their line. I was surprised on the bottle size thou. The resin rivets are for some RCON scenery. Arrived at the right time as I'm assembling it now. Also, Sunday my wife & I went to Nampa, ID for grocery shopping, I stopped in the former FLGS & picked up the following Contrast colors: Sigvald Burgundy Imperial Fist Shyish Purple Nighhaunt Gloom
