Very nice job!

I like how you painted them different colours.

Although @buglips*the*goblin will probably kill the blue Goblin on sight..

Thank you!

I want my goblins different colors so they are going to get different colors. Even the greens will probably be different shades of green.

He can try but he'll get a drum solo on his head with the skull-drumsticks-of-death!

While I do tend to gravitate to the sillier looking Goblins, yours are Folk Lore style Goblins AND BEAUTIFULLY painted at that. I love your color choices as well. VERY NICELY DONE!

@Glitterwolf Now I am curious, why kill the blue goblin? I am thinking of making black and purple goblins too!

Glitter must have subconscious G.W. purist syndrome. "Kill those non green Goblins...then kill the green ones!"

Thank you! I am itching to give one a "Mom" heart tattoo but can't do that small!

Poor blue goblin. Well, he is the only one armed so he has a better chance of fending off attackers!

How tough are ya?

I don't know - maybe a decal might be of use for you?

You've painted these admirably!

I think the issue with blue goblins is the vague resemblance to Smurfs.

I don't have a problem with blue goblins.  Pathfinder art has some blue-gray-purplish ones.  And I think there have been arctic goblins in some novel or bestiary at some time (I think they populate the Land of the Linnorm Kings).

I am impressed with the eye work you achieved on these little buggers....nice.

Thank you! They do have teeny little eyes!

Lovely!

I think if you can pull off those eyes you can pull off the tattoo.

Thanks! I might have to give it a try.

Ha! Hadn't considered a chest tattoo. Was thinking an arm. If I try it, I'll try with paint. Goblins don't write so it may just be a heart with an arrow. ::D:

I see you also gave the stool goblin the dignity of a large loincloth.

The sculptor did that! No goblin tushies!

So I definitely shouldn't do blue with white loincloth and boots then? Good thing goblins are grubby and I don't think they could keep white clean!

I wanted to create something to enter in the Paint It Pink competition this year, but I only had about a day and a half before ReaperCon. I knew that this wasn't going to win any awards, but it was important to me that I do something. I saw these goblins with their oversized flag and just went for it. The base is one of Secret Weapon's doric columns.

Thief : Blue Ink base + black ink to show details  (least happy)
Cleric : angelic ghost or spiritual weapon spell.  Yellow ink + TMM
Ranger: painted by minispawn.  ill take it. Makes a great ghost
Wizard: nulin Oil + higlights of green ink  (fav)
Fighter: I only painted the base. (represents an invisible PC pretty well.)

I should talk to @Doug Sundseth about this again, since he is teaching a class on it, probably today.  Not sure im happy with the set.

Delving into the Bones 4 core set, we start by pulling out the 24 bonus goblins that originally were in the Bones 3 core set. And add to them the 12 that I have from the previous kickstarter for a grand total of 36 goblins, 6 each of 6 different sculpts. I actually think I should have a few more of these, as one of the ones I got in the Bones 3 shipment was missing a part, and Reaper sent me a whole pack as a replacement. I wonder where I have put the originals?

These are a bit thinner and more weedy sculpts than the Bones 1 and 2 goblins (Reaper makes a lot of Goblins, obviously they sell well), but as such they should fit well with my existing Lord of the Rings Moria Goblin army I am slowly growing for Kings of War.  I have based them on my 3D printed 20mm round bases, the Bones 3 ones have a slightly different style as I have since developed the design, making the later types more hollowed out so I can avoid the minis always standing on a hilltop.

36 goblins are quite a handful to deal with all at once. Being nickled and dimed to death, or experiencing death by a thousand cuts as it were, is still dead.

Goblin Luggits are the ones with two handed weapons in Kings of War Vanguard

Goblin Spitters are the bowmen in Kings of War Vanguard

The rest are just Rabble (in Kings of War Vanguard)

I generally do not like painting identical minis identically, so I switch things up slightly by painting each set of different sculpts in a different base colour, and randomly do the other bits. I keep some bits the same throughout, such as the weapons, shields, or helmets, and also have used the same strong quickshade ink and a very light drybrush with Team Yankee Maverick Khaki, a mid-to-light beige-ish green on all the minis.
This together with the bases give the entire group a cohesive feel, so they appear as a unit while still retaining a sense of individuality,
These are really quite quick to paint, just alot of them to do. I did them in between bouts of playing Payday 2 over the last couple of days.

I haven't posted for a bit but I have been painting. I have been painting mostly for D&D but some just because they are fun models. Luckily, the two cross over quite a bit so I get to paint fun models for D&D!

I painted up these little goblins. I have the other 6 waiting to be painted. For these, I decided little greenskins. They are so cute!

      Per Izzy,
If you picked up either of the Art Books in the Bones III and IV kick-starters and would like to get them autographed, be sure to bring them with you to ReaperCon. Izzy will be signing them when time allows.
