Thanks @Guindyloo! I agree with you about the boots. I like having the red as a rather unifying feature. Thee boots got overdone though. The club helped... but not enough.

The texture is a beast to highlight up, and I tried a golden to mitigate it. Wasn't quite satisfactory.

The feathers got bright colors to try to draw eye around.

The fur I don't identify as reddish like you did. It is based off the Dark Skin triad, which is a very neutral brown. Maybe it is the photo? And I could have gone a bit heavier with the highlighting of the fur; frankly it was getting tiresome. Each crease is SO deep on this figure. The highlights on the back aren't quite in focus though in the picture.

If I had to redo the center piece, I would change the gray to tan. The gray is good but it forces the eye to the different thing due to an overall lack of gray. Still pleased on how the highlighting went for it even if I would repeat differently (skill set vs result).

And snouts are tough to decide! I googled musk oxen to pick color scheme on that and they have a range of tones to pick from. I went to my palette, shrugged, and went at it.

I otter paint this one next for a fuzzy thing: DSM 8089 (Otter Ranger).

I might end up painting the boyfriend's kitsune figure, or training him to paint it. Trying to steer him towards a brown or red fox, because a black one for a 2nd figure would be difficult.
