Shin Okada
Japanese samurai not in armor and in true Japanese Kimono. Better if wearing it without Hakama (in loose, Kinagashi style). Not the one like Toshiro, Male Ronin. His hair style is good. But he is wearing floppy gown. That is not Kimono.
Enchantra
I love the Mayan Warrior-girl you posted, Enchantra. I would definitely buy like, twelve, especially if she's decently clad. I have a bit of a fondness for Mesoamerican art and architecture, and their mummies were so much cooler looking than Egypt's. You and me both. I would pre-order several. If I knew I had the funds to do so. By the way the artist who drew that picture calls her Aztec, though in all seriousness it is sometimes hard to tell the difference between the styles as both cultures had contact with each other and borrowed heavily of each other's cosmology, religion, and styles of dress. Bill_Adcock
Well, I referred to her as Mayan because in one of the many sword-and-knife catalogues I receive, they had a fantasy sword identical to the one in her hand, and they called it a "Mayan Sword." I briefly considered buying it and hanging it on my wall, but I didn't have the money at the time and by the time the next issue came around, it wasn't listed. *thpbbbbbt*

Then you go to get it later and it is gone? I've had that happen more times then I care to consider.
Saranthose
I know I made a reqquest not too long ago but I just want to beg this time for the first thing on that list: MORE HALF-ORCS! PLEASE! PLEASE! Kheprera
Box sets. Rarer races, such as Draconian (Dragon people), Half Orcs, Orcs, Halflings/Hobbits, Gnomes, etcetera where you have one of each main class (fighter, mage, rogue, cleric, etcetera). Or Class Box Sets with one of each race or two of each race and one of each sex... Just suggestions.

I definitly agree, I love box sets and would love to see more than just great big dragons in a box. (Not that I dont like the dragons ) Am I the only one who likes painting half naked women? It is supposed to be fantasy ya know... and they do have a good selection of non-half naked people running around too (although I grant you they are not in the styles you are talking about.) I say keep them coming in the ration they are in the more established lines and everyone will be happy.
Jester
You know, there's nothing wrong with naked people... However, I clearly see a lack in the area of the half-dragon/dragon type characters. Not the draconians per the old Dragons of the Endless Babble series by TSR... but say a half-dragon mage? a dragon mage? Better get out my sketch pad... And then, different non-standard types of characters from the races. Say a halfling knight? a dwarven butcher? a female human smith? I could go on and on and on... Ooops, sketch pad is calling to me. I have several that are screaming "paint me and convert me!" Just that the picture I had referenced earlier probably would not be something you would find being sculpted as it is in the drawing due to the way certain anatomical areas are portrayed. Personally I would want her to have her clothing that she already had covering her just a bit more.
Bill_Adcock
Maybe just twist her skirt around and cover up her naughtiness?
Chairman Aeon
For one, I don't play anthros. I don't play anthros either, just pointing out the Egyptians were all over them. For me, anthros do not fit into my game except as gods, and for those I love the Bast and Anubis figures (although I sincerely wish Bast was WEARING MORE CLOTHING!! ... thankfully I can take care of that with a file and some greenstuff). And Bast is often portrayed topless as it wasn't a big deal in Egypt. I have two serveing girls from Foundry that their only clothing is a belt. Again not out of the realm of how Egypt really was. I think maybe entire box sets of the pantheons would work? Egyptian, Greek, Norse, Aztec... I think pantheons or possibly champions of pantheons would be cool. Iain. Jhulae
I'm also waiting on some HUMAN Egyptian figures that aren't mummies or skeletons and who are wearing clothing and armor. Not all female Egyptians ran around with their boobs hanging out. Except that based on the temperature and climate, not to mention societal norms, it was no big deal for egyptian women to be bare breasted. Even the full linen dresses of that time were fairly revealing (being as they were translucent) even though they 'covered' everything. Also, it wasn't uncommon (depending on the dynasty) for egyptian performers (mostly women) to be completely unclothed when they performed. So, there's really no problem with the way the mini's are depicted, from a fantasy (and even historical) standpoint. I'm glad to see the company doesn't have a 'hang up' about it, considering we're supposed to be more advanced than those ancient cultures.

It's not, at this point, that I'm looking at historical accuracy... I want something I can portray characters with, and my characters and some NPCs don't go around bare breasted or are of a non-priestly/magical class. I don't mind the bare breasted variety, but I do mind that they all seem to go that way.
Kheprera
Break out the green stuff and sculpt bikinis! I agree with Fuzz - I've got no worries about painting nekkid miniatures! Plus, there's literally HEAPS (like, most) of female figures who are swathed in clothing and/or armour, if that's what you're after. *sigh* I thought this was a thread about minis we would like to see, not an argument about how fully clothed some mini are or aren't. I'm only saying *I* would like to see an Egyptian Warrior type female who isn't partially unclothed. The minis that are fully clothed don't have the Egyptian feel to them. I don't have a problem with partially nude or nude figures, but I'd like to see one, count it ONE Egyptian female who ISN'T wearing a bikini, who has some armor, and maybe a khopesh sword, who I don't have to spend hours converting because I've never sculpted a day in my life although I'm beginning to learn just so I can convert Fatima, which is a beautiful sculpt, into NOT being a naked mummy and into a living priestess of Horus. And I'm not going to argue this further. I'm stating merely what I would like to see. If you want to go on for pages about painting female figures without clothes, please feel free.
