Let's paint ... Phoenicia, Arcane Spellcaster

Seriously people - I have no idea. Who was this lady again?

 

While Sophie was drying I started to paint her and actually made pretty good progress so far.

 

Tried to get back to my former painting style. Not entirely happy, but happy enough to keep going.

 

 

 

If anyone knows what the name of this model is - tell me. I'd be grateful enough to tell her that you knew what I didn't.

 Don't know the name or manufacturer, but I do recognize it - although I couldn't find a picture of it, the style suggests Anima Tactics to me...

(Y'know, I think I may even have actually owned that one briefly at one point...)

That's Phoenicia, Arcane Spellcaster by Guild of Harmony, Sebastian Archer sculptor.  Pretty sure I have this one in my collection, otherwise it's doubtful I'd remember where I saw it.

Thank you very much for your help! I checked for that ... unfortunately no luck on Anime Tactics.

And yes - I am very active going through all my little projects, presenting what I've got in mind and working on 50 miniatures at the same time.

 

I would have put it all in one thread, but ... I asked - they said no - fine with me!

Beautiful mini! Do you have a colour scheme in mind already? Everyone always plans ahead so much...I more someone that goes with the flow (when in doubt pick purple).

Well yes - I have got a plan - but it just came into my mind when I realized she'd look like a flamenco dancer when I painted her in black and red. So I choose a different colour scheme. Will take a few days more to get it done, but I think I'm on the right way here :-D

And a small update - well more or less.

 

Applied most of the colours, some shadows and highlights. I like the outcome so far, though I am a bit disappointed some parts of the paintjob came out too blotchy for my liking.

 

I also made some mistakes on the face I cannot correct anymore without scraping colour from the figure and I don't think I wanna do that. But afar from that - well, already a good step forward.

 

Got to correct some little unhappy accidents I made when drybrushing the hair and I am not entirely sure about the hair colour, but I think that's a topic I should worry about when I am awake again.

 

For now, I like her.

Love her! Reminds me a lot of Janna. Very brave to use white...one of the hardest colour...because of so many reasons (at least for me).She looks fantastic!

Oh I didn't know that haha. Based it off a figure I saw on the Internet, so ... interesting.

 

And I am a brave little guy, white suits me perfectly :-D I consider BLACK to be more challenging for me.

Painted most of her face, did some clean up on the hair, tried to repair the messed up parts of the faces.

 

 

 

 

Now I am thinking about the ground. I first thought of making those ruins glow a bit, but then I thought ... what kind of ruins would glow?

 

So I am not sure what to do at the moment. Any thoughts on that?

 

And - oh, yeah ... can anyone tell me what this is supposed to be?

 

 

Are those scrolls or some kind of instruments of tortue or just something to kill your enemy with? I don't know. I have no idea.
