77251: Bloodhoof, Minotaur Barbarian

Looks good!

I've never figured out how to balance painting and playing. I used to trim mold lines, but I've had a lot of DM's get annoyed. Even though as soon as it was my turn I was like instantly, "OK I move 20 feet, to here, and I do this and this." Rolls two dice. Ok I hit for 5 damage. All in less than 30 seconds. When others took like 5 minutes trying to decide what they would do.

Man if this is speed painting, I really suck:( Least I have a good idea what this guy looks like painted up:) Now if I can just finish my 10 WIP (1 just needs base and touch up, 3 actually WIP's and six that still need me to break out my patriot 105 and prime them), I can finally get to this guy:) Well and everything in bones 3 core set:(

Happy belated nameday TS, thats a really nice mini-mino.  (Speed paint, he says, hmph.  My speed paints take at least month and don't look near this good)...

It has been a while since I painted anything. A combination of my arms acting up again and my just not feeling it. Call it the recurring fallow season.
So I am getting back on track with some Orcs.  These are partly from the first Bones kickstarter and partly from the third. All together a nice band of 10.
There are nine different orcs that are variants made on only two basic bodies, plus a singular warchief that I think fits in with the lot of them.
I originally based them on 40mm round bases with sloped edges, the thinner-than-citadel knockoff ones. But there was always something not quite right about them, the bases were simply too large for the minis. So off they came. I ended up with making 37mm 3D-printed ones instead. I think they fit well on these minis.

      lots of pictures below

Hello to all you bovine aficionados!

So a while back ago I did a normal minotaur, Greek-type mythological beast with an axe on two legs.   This one is a little different, it's a Shadowrun Minotaur which has a bull's body and a "primate" face.  I think Jim Johnson sculpted it back in the nineties, as usual forgot to check for a date on the bottom.  Pretty straight forwards colors, and it's actually kind of a big and heavy model. Put him on an oval base because there was no way he was going to fit on a normal size circle one:

Anyhoos, hope you guys all enjoy him!

Promised thing, thing due. Here are pictures of my Gnoll hunting party. All of them are Reaper Miniatures Gnolls, painted with Reaper Master Series Paints. I added the archer's bowstring and converted two models (see last picture).
I will now work on a display base for them. I've found an inspiring picture of a dusky sunset in the desert for the background.

Hi everyone, here are pictures of my latest Gnoll, a converted Toghra the Gnoll Leader. The upper part is from 77235, Toghra the Gnoll Leader sculpted by Jason Wiebe. The lower part of the mini is 77236, Bloodmane Gnoll Warrior sculpted by Tre Manor. The spear head is the blade of 02757, Gastaroth the Vampire sculpted by Werner Klocke and the staff is from 14056 Weapon Pack 1 sculpted by Tim Kaufman. Here's the link to the conversion WIP if you'd like more information.
