Question the 13th of September: If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?  (many thanks to Crowley for providing todays question)

Drug dealing. Espionage. Smuggling. Some sort of black market stuff. Killed a guy by defending myself. It depends on who you talk to. Most of my family knows I have the education to do some truly illegal things (not horrible, just illegal). Some of my family actually realize just how much a bored me can get up to with a kitchen, a bottle of nail polish remover, and a box of mothballs

My family... I'm honestly not sure what they would assume it was for, I was generally fairly quiet when growing up.

My friends... Would probably assume I suddenly snapped... or snapped a long time ago and now have finally been caught.

I'm not one to cause trouble and for some of my friends that's a reason to be suspicious.

Either that I was arrested at a political protest or someone's abusive spouse is now in the ER or Morgue.

Probably that someone had poked the mama bear and I'd injured someone defending my cubs.

Most likely arrested for something that wasn't my fault (wrongful accusation or mistaken identity).  This covers most of the reasons I would be arrested.  In many ways, I am a boring person and I'm quite happy that way.

The question implies that I'd actually get caught...::P:

20 years ago, it would have been drunk and disorderly, disturbing the peace or something like that. Lord knows I've done enough things that were certainly arrest worthy, the only reason I never was is that God looks out for drunks and dumb animals.::D:

Now, it'd probably be mistaken identity. I generally do my best to behave and follow the rules (even if I do think some of 'em are dumb).

Edit----that took a bit of a dark turn. If you saw what was here originally, fine. I don't think it should have been posted, so now it's gone.

My wife would probably assume I lost my temper and did something unspeakable to someone (or something).

People that really know me would probably figure that someone finally managed to find the right combination of buttons to push to make me lose my temper.  I actually have a very bad temper; it's just that it takes so much to push me over the edge, that not even my wife has ever seen me lose it.  In fact, I can only think of one time when I lost control of it.

Serious question - does it count as a bad temper if it is that hard to lose control?  At this point, doesn't everyone have a bad temper?  Seems to me that everyone would have something that could push them over the edge.

For myself, I consider I have a bad temper because I tend to get angry/upset very easily.  Something very minor could set me off.  The only positive about this is that I know I have a bad temper and over the years, I can tell when I'm angry/upset such that I remove myself from that situation and let myself calm down instead of flying off the handle and (well, most of the time...).  This has been frustrating for my wife on more than one occasion as she will want to talk about something but I have to shut her out until after I've calmed down.

No. And, no.

Some people are just, mostly harmless.

Others break doors ...and walls.

Indecent exposure by walking topless thru my house late at night with no window covering. I need snacks sometimes!! Being topless is actually legal in my current town but likely won't be in other towns in the future. I am not into being on display.... but if I need a snack, I need a snack.

Or possibly reacting to offending jerks and being blamed when it was defense.

 That's my kind of criminal! Made me think of an incident with me many years ago. My mom's crazy cousin (literally certifiably crazy) was visiting us. Our bathroom in in the middle of the house and my bedroom in the far corner. Middle of the night I had to go and so headed there. Crazy woman was sitting there watching TV in the dark. I hesitated for a second and then kept on trucking. Next morning she gives me a lecture about how disrespectful I was by walking past her in my underwear. I told her, "lady, you're lucky I had that much on because I usually don't at night." She wasn't sure how to reply to that so I got away. On a slightly related note, my grandpa once answered the door for a traveling salesman while buck naked. Mom was a kid and she said it was hilarious to watch the guy try to do his sales pitch.

As to the daily question, probably rounded up for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I got a tendency to find a spot and watch things when it might be smarter to get out of there. Or a smaller possibility of having done something to one of my !@$@#! annoying idiots of a relative that have bothered me for many years. I'm pretty calm and boring most of the time and not stupid or energetic enough to get into real trouble. But a lifetime of ticking me off has left me with no tolerance for a few people. They seem to realise that and leave me alone most of the time.
