Bones You'd Like to See, thread #4

I'd love to see some more smaller terrain pieces that are more fantasy than scifi/modern. A couple rune stones that could work for a lot of things...even in scifi with some thought. A crossroads direction post, a notice board for adventurers to pull fliers from.

A bazaar stand, potentially with a few options for it...or a few separate stands that would have different goods.

Traps would be another thing, spikes and sawblades and darts to draw the rogues attention.

A few weapon racks would be fun as well.

Both of these would be very nice in light plastic because it'd be easier to put them on stuff. The wings would be easier to attach and cause fewer problems with balance. The vultures would similarily be easier to put onto weaker branches etc.

The wings would be such a nice addition to bones!  I really wish they offered more accessories.  The bones material is so convenient for working with conversions, it's a shame they don't do more with it.  Plus the low price makes it less-intimidating to hack things apart.

The vultures are also great.  Wish they had more little creatures for basing purposes.  Or at least more of the metal familiar sets in bones.

and similar weapon packs https://www.reapermini.com/search/weapons

would all be great to have in some kind of plastic. Extra weapons are always super useful and there's a decent variety here. Again, making them in a lighter material would be great for practical purposes. I'm not sure whether regular bones or bones black would be the best choice. Regular is cheaper and easier to bend into shape but that might only be relevant for chains and tubing, while guns and swords would benefit more from being made out of a stiffer material.

Either way, weapon packs would be appreciated.

Another few things that would be useful is a bridge. Even broken up into parts for sale. End caps, extensions, and broken extensions. Perhaps a log and stone version of bridges.

For a small thing that people might get, an outhouse would be rather easy, and it wouldn't be bigger than the telephone box

A stone bridge AND a modern outhouse are both available as options in the Bones 5 Kickstarter!

Was meaning more of one that could be extended, having pieces that can fit in the middle of it without extra work and if you need to make it cross wider or smaller things, you can add or remove pieces.

I'd really like to see some more variety based on other cultures and mythologies, kind of like the Daimyo collection in Bones V.  Some Norse mythology and more vikings/winter-clad characters would be cool.  And also more Egyptian or Arabian offerings.  You could even reuse some of the other Nefsokar minis for that one.

At this point I have a lot of the traditional European fantasy classics and am definitely more excited by some more diverse and non-traditional offerings.

Pavise would be a good option as well as other barricades and fortification type things that can work as scatter.

Ground embedded stakes that could be put out across an area. Either individual ones or chained ones linked together in various ways.

With the transparent bones stuff, things like smaller ponds could be an interesting thing to have. Perhaps even streams/rivers.

Take the river stream as a 2 piece mini for each section, the first being the banks/bed that could be painted up with a clear piece that could be put in place ontop of it, either glued in or removable. Same with ponds...

I'd love to see a large gate/door that could be used on its own for some RP scenarios as part of it or be worked into terrain works. Potentially with a drawbridge for it. Castle Wall sections could also be great, and shouldn't need to be any bigger than some of the boxes already in use to work. Perhaps also things like timber/log palisades with a gate.

Generic pillars are another thing that could be nice to have. Sure, there's the graveyard ones, but the skulls kind of make them jarring and I'd rather not need to carve them off for a generic set.

A spiral staircase or two (Perhaps a paired set with opposing spirals) would be great for dungeons and those who don't want to make them, a full set of them would also add for terrain workers.

Tree stumps would be a workable thing for a lot of different settings, others things like giant mushrooms would fit as well. While even more generic, more realistically shaped, larger rocks could actually work. Things like the rocky hills and such that GF9's made a while ago would be nice to have available for things. Smaller ones might work as well...I've actually used some of the soft plastic rocks from various animal/soldier toy sets for terrain with a bit of paint, having some options that I don't need to hunt down or get the plastic primer for.

Things like field stone fences/walls would be great to have for a decent price that could be easily painted for different sets and easy to get matching pieces for at later points.

Another thing that would be useful for a bones black or clear (seems to be more rigid than the basic bones) would be wagon wheels. They're a pain to find in the right scale and tedious to make.

I've painted through all but 2 if the Bones Duergar in the last week (I painted 1 of the 2 a long while ago and the last is out of stock right now), and I really enjoyed painting all of them, so I want more. This one is wonderfully creepy and I'd love to see her, but others, as well. Maybe some with pole arms, enlarged versions of others that we already have, one who could play as a king. Oh! and appropriately duergar-y constructs, too, to go along with the theme.
