"Stop Thief!" Mousling Diorama

Recommended Posts

This is my planned Mousling diorama for ReaperCon. The idea start forming at last year's con and evolved into this: two Mousling thieves getting caught robbing a Mousling wizard. The base is built and it and the Mouslings are primed. That is all that is done for now so lots of painting remains as well as adding in details. I am really excited for this one and everything that I have planned.

Mouslings are for me personally, at least not painting them.  I love to see them painted though and think they are super cute.  I think I am mostly intimidated by how small they are.

I am super looking forward to see your work on this!

I was a little intimated by the size as well when I painted my first one but it was a lot easier than I had imagined. Now I love painting them.

"Curse you, thieves! If I ever get you, you will regret what you did!"

"Cut it off, Grandpa. We're out of here."

This could so absoluetly be a scene from Critical Role. Haha. I love it. Great work so far!

Well that was tedious but worth it. The painting of the base is done. I sponged the stone color and did some washes on the walls. The wood was just some lines that I wet blended followed by some washes The tedious part was under lining every single stone and then highlighting them. There is a reason for the dark square but that is a surprise for later.

Never painted fully white mini before.
This was extra fun and easy!

Red and White Wizard.  Now I kinda want to do every color combo wizard.

I haven't been painting much Reaper lately, but painted up this beastie for Jimmy The Brush's July community challenge.

Everything on the beast is TMM.

A trio of figures from two different companies. In red is a rogue from Perfect Six miniatures, overlooking the training of two Little Wolves (Amazon girls)  from Bad Squiddo games.

This was supposed to be a quick tabletop paint job but ended up taking longer as I tried different techniques. It was a fun but tricky one to paint with the limited palette I choose but I like challenging myself and I am very pleased with the final result.

For your consideration I present my take on the Wizard’s Workshop. This piece was created in response to a challenge issued by a Twitch streamer that I follow. The challenge was themed Fatherly for Fathers Day 2020. I spent several hours searching for the right model until I came across this piece. Inspired by Alexi Z’s example on the Reaper website I decided to try OSL for the first time. (Using an airbrush is almost cheating lol) I wanted to find a unique base for this project and settled on the Shattered Ritual 100mm base by Secret Weapon Miniatures. In addition to the Wizard’s Workshop I also added 77318: Bookshelf, 77248: Crates (Large and Small) (2) and 77249: Large Barrel Small Barrel to the scene

The Glowing effect was created by adding LIT Green Glow Pigment by Culture Hustle and mixing it with the acrylic paint and applying it with the airbrush. C&C welcome
