Original one looks too much like a poo-beast and they're going with this guy.

Now, he's only rubbing his butt on the ground. :D

It does look good, but imagine what a mess it would be to paint. After all, they (mostly)* come assembled.

*They mentioned the dragon was coming with wings separate. Presumably this will be shipped in a similar fashion.

Dragon and Devil are still my only interests.  Think I am leaning pretty heavy towards the dragon though!  However that probably means I have to cut a couple of add-ons from my Bones 4 want list.

This could end up costing me a lot. There are an awful lot of add ons, but they really seem to be game changers.

I love that the siege expansion comes with a separate card game to play before the battle starts to simulate the months of time during a siege, along with a pile of great looking terrain, castle walls etc. Even at 15mm trebuchets, battering rams, siege towers et al. will be usable on a 28mm tabletop since you want the representation, the scale isn't as critical.

And Ars Nova seems like a completely separate game (it's even co-operative/solo rather than versus like the main game), a mystery that just happens to use the same mechanics as the core game. A Sean Connery mini in an Umberto Eco novel come to life? Count me in. I don't know how much replayability it will have, but for $20 it's an easy add for me.

Unleash Hell and Legendary Dragon are more traditional type expansions, but they do look so good:

Yes Darsc Zacal. Just remember that you only get the super exclusives Gog and Magog minis if you do a Maiden pledge during the KS. You also get all SGs and extra set of the super exclusives if you buy an extra core game in the pledge manager.

I could easily spend $300 on this, but I'm just not sure I would ever get around to playing it. Good value for the money though.

What's it like to paint 15mm? I'm painting some orclings from Mantic, and it's squintyvision don't wiggle time as I try to paint the details on these things x14.

Base coat - wash - highlight. Details? Lol. I do like the scale, just not commonly played. I have a bunch of 15mm stuff from back in the 80's.

Most of the units are wearing armor or chainmail so that's pretty easy and quick if you just paint that dark metalic and drybrush brighter metal. They are including shield water transfers so no need to get fustrated painting freehand emblems. The larger creatures will obviously take more time I'm not even going to think about painting that dragon with a brush, I'll be looking into a compressor for my airbrush or find some compressed air cans if I can. Same goes for the Devil and probably the Beast but I will touch up with a brush the details.

Honestly after batch painting flames of war troops I think I could rip out 48 billmen in one big batch in a couple weeks time permitting. Basing will take a bit of time though. There's a lot of heroes to take time on but at this scale, should be quick. Again lots of metal. The castle on the other hand, looks like it has deep crevasses between the bricks which would be a pain to get into, I'm hoping they fine ture the final sculpts, many people have commented on how the bricks shouldn't line up like they do but be staggered too. That'll be another airbrush job.

Bundles are up and quite a bit of savings on those.

Someone in a podcast I listen to (an actual play d&d weekly affair, if I remember correctly) has this rpg based on 80s video nasties. It sounds intriguing and fun.

They don't seem to have anything on Kickstarter yet, their Facebook site says they launch on October 1st. It'll be one all-in pledge for the 10 starter minis & everything afterward will be an included freebie. Looks like some cool sculpts; I'll be interested as to what the pledge will be.

      About
The siblings  of conflict are here!
Attack! this interstellar army of hardboiled girls are ready to conquer your tabletop! Assemble unique squads with powerful weapons, led by brave leaders. They're cute, they're rowdy, they are the siblings of conflict!
      STRETCH GOALS
We're planning amazing, unique hero characters, and more! Surprises await! New Stretch Goals will appear as the campaign advances!
      Chibi miniatures!
Chibis are adorable characters that have lately have made a splash in the boardgaming and miniature community with games such as Super Dungeon Explore, Arcadia Quest, Ninja All-Stars and many others. They're also featured in collectible figurines and in other geeky paraphernalia.
This is the NINTH Chibi KickStarter run by Impact! Miniatures and Impact! is partnering with  Märchen to bring you some incredible, new Siblings of Conflict chibi miniatures along with sci-fi allies & enemies for them to combat!
The funding goal will pay for the sculpting & 3-D printing of the miniatures.
       The Miniatures
ALL miniatures in this KickStarter are provided unpainted. Unless otherwise stated after the name of the miniature, all miniatures offered with this KickStarter will be high quality 3-D prints done on a top end 25 to 50 micron printer (you should not see print lines after priming and paint).   As stretch goals are reached we will unlock additional sculpts.  The miniatures will require light clean up, being primed before painted and might need some assembly (although we will do our best to keep the figures with as few pieces as possible).
You can use your reward dollars to get any of the miniatures in the listing above.
      Miniature Quality
While many of the miniatures in this KickStarter will be 3-D printed, the quality will be a very high level since they are 25 to 50 micron 3-D SLA prints which are very different than ABS prints.   Below is an extreme close -up example of a printed figure and how it shows no print lines when primed and painted (with no other prep work).    Many thanks to Yeji Kim for her painting of Vanguard Leader Anna (top row) and Jason Turner for the painting of Vanguard Leader Anna and Vanguard Trooper #3 (bottom row)!
      Shipping
Shipping will be charged in the pledge manager after the project.  At this time we are estimating $5 for US backers, $13 for Canada and $17 for Rest of World. Shipping of the KickStarter will be EU Friendly and should not incur any customs fees.
