I was the Winter Soldier last night. Only used what was in my house. I do a lot of cosplay so I have many such costumes hiding around the house. I am particularly proud of the battlestar galactica flight suit that I put together out of my wardrobe and some shrinky dinks (for the dog tags).

Darn it @Pingo!! This was tomorrow's question!!!  ::P:

*sigh*

I could do a lobster headed monster (using Lucy's Noble Lobster Costume), Crowley from Supernatural, I've got a sheet I could use as a toga, I've got a set of scrubs that could be used to turn me into some sort of medical professional. I've got enough makeup to turn myself into a zombie...

Either a cowboy, Bavarian, martial artist or detective.  I have usually had the makings of a cowboy outfit, just see my 65 year old picture as my avatar.  I have a Gi from college.  A trech coat magnifying glass and handcuffs will do for a detective.

Last Saturday I went to a murder mystery with my siblings and their Significant others.  My character was Otto Von Schnapes and I wore Lederhosen.

I have a pirate costume and a magician (or magician's assistant) outfit in my closet out of items for general wear, just put together funny. The magician outfit does better at the hat shop - I put on a top hat with an absurd amount of feathers in it.

Also have the bodyguard from Repo! The Genetic Opera. All items in that costume are general ones in my wardrobe, but were sought for that purpose initially.

Cersei, witch, Questgiver, and Cyradis costumes are also in the closet. Arguably Zombie Barbie too, but that's mostly on make-up and mushed oreo cookies.

Um, do we have a time limit on construction? lol ::D:

- Give me three months and I could make a suit of chainmail...

- I have some white sheets around here somewhere, and a side of leather hide - I could do an Assassin's Creed character, and could maybe put together a functioning wrist blade from stuff in the garage...

- I have my Hellboy tail, and the materials to make another hand, I could maybe put together a decent coat from sheets and blankets...But all I have for red coloring is craft paint, so I'd have to run to the store for the stuff to turn it into flexible fabric paint to use as makeup...

- I have the trenchcoat, prosthetic chin, wifebeater t-shirt and boots to do Marv from Sin City...

- I'm pretty sure there's still some of my mother's makeup stashed around here in a closet or somewhere, and I have a bunch of fake blood and possibly even some liquid latex left over... I could easily do a zombie or vampire...

Give me ten minutes and $30 to run to the cheap-elf Halloween store for some crappy make-up and more liquid latex and I can do damn near any makeup you could ever think of.

- I still have my Judge Oliver Wright costume from Shock Treatment...

- The above costume also includes a lab coat and old-fashioned doctor's headpiece, so I could do a doctor...

- I'm not sure if there's still a fedora in the old man's closet, but I do have a camera and suit for an old-school reporter... And I could easily do a modern one - I have old electrical cords and enough pvc pipe, duct tape and foam insulation to mock up a tv microphone.

- There's a generic-looking blue bathrobe in storage up in the attic, and the wheelchair from my Dr. Scott costume, so I could do a hospital patient...

- With the wheelchair, if I wanted to shave my head I could do Prof. X from the X-men, or dye my hair and beard red to be the Chief from DC's Doom Patrol...

- I've got a black plastic case that could double as a briefcase or laptop if you don't look too closely, and dollar-store reading glasses I could paint black to be an accountant or a hacker...

- With the leather trenchcoat and my hat I could do a decent-looking Mafia/IRA thug...

- With my old green Army cold weather jacket I can do a pretty good homeless person - especially if we want to cheat a bit and still include the old Army duffel bag I threw out last week.

- If I can still find them, I have the right flannel shirt and knit cap to do the bearded guy from The Blair Witch Project...

- I might have enough duct tape and electrical tape on hand to make an ersatz Gimp suit...

That's just off the top of my head, and without actually making an actual check of what's in my house at the moment.

Hmm.  Utilikilt, check.  Black silk shirt, check.  12 foot Tom Baker Doctor Who scarf, check.  Thigh High, wide striped purple and darker purple socks, check.  Knee high lumber jack boots, check.  'Boonie' hat, check.  Motorcycle jacket, check.

Well, I have a costume.  Not sure what I'm supposed to be but it's definitely not something I've ever worn (all together) anyway.

Underestimated the length of the scarf

Ok... limiting myself to what I could put together by tonight and without looking in the closet: medieval peasant (tunic), renfaire peasant wench, Viking wife, 14th century French noblewoman, 17th century Austrian noblewoman, Deadpool, Steampunk Xenobotanist, Mario, #2 from the prisoner, a world con sized bag of Putin’s Fen Chow (Made from real fen!), Steampunk mechanic, cat-girl, witch, and Zombie.
