Highlander
I want to be the first to jump the gun. 2018? I don't really expect an answer ... given that the Reaper staff is probably just being released from various hospitals, asylums, and rest facilities after this year's Reapercon. I would appreciate a guess, not to the dates themselves, but when the dates might be released. Next year is shaping up very busy for me and I would like to lay in Reapercon to avoid conflict. This year was so enjoyable that I don't want to miss the next one.
Ludo
Definitely not an official answer, but based on last year, they may announce the dates some time in January? From what I've heard in causal conversations, It will most likely stick to October.
Highlander
Thank you. Rumors always make me feel better. Especially when delivered by a man in a striking hat. Yup, January would be magnificent -- for my puposes. October for the Con itself is also great. But I'm selfish that way.
haldir
Being I'm a hold-over from RCon days of old, I gotta admit I don't mind the October date. At first I was like it won't be the same but the last 2 years has changed my mind on that subject. It feels like a shorter wait then when it was in the spring. I guess with having the summer first then fall & winter to wait through before the Con vs having the colder months first then summer, may have a part in that. Heck I don't know..... Anyways, unlike previous years I've actually got the adventures lined up that I'm gonna run. I've got it to where I will run 1 adventure per day with one of the WbGoblins game being the exception. You know gotta have We be Goblins at ReaperCon!! Thou, I'm not sure if future runs will top this year's!!! (Thanks to my players for using the fireworks at the end!!!). I will say if Paizo releases a Starfinder Goblin adventure for Free RPG Day next year I will run that instead of as well. I haven't truly decided on that. Heck I have't decided which WbG game will get ran next year. At least with me getting on the ball sooner this year, I'll have more time to paint minis (or hopefully I will!!)
Weird-O
My hope is for early October. Mid-late is usually a no-go for me, this year was an aberration.
eastman
Next year, the MMSI Chicago Show is the 19-21 of October. I'm hoping RCon and MMSI won't overlap (like they did in 2016). Much better to be able to attend both this year.
ub3r_n3rd
I Really like the late October dates. They work out well for me. The weather in TX is great at that time and it allows for good planning.
kristof65
I'm really hoping to be able to go next year. Last time I got to go was 2007, and I was hoping to make it this year, but I wound up using too much vacation time for house hunting and moving. 3
klarg1
October isn't the best time for me, and will probably be really bad [for me] in 2018, but I will cope. There is no time of year that works for everybody, Edited November 2, 2017 by klarg1

haldir
Yah you can't take the Pacific Northwest out of me. Texas is good to visit every year but living there, I'll have to take a pass on that one. (besides I like seeing mountains in the distance!!! )
Cyradis
I'd prefer not October, for the sake of avoiding conflict with an annual geology convention. I'd really like to make this con sometime!

I do keep mentioning to the wife that with my work I can be just about anywhere and work remote. She has been tempted but really wants to keep our daughter in the school system here in Allen.
