spencertheman
When registering games, I'm seeing a similar naming scheme like CCC-TAROT-01-01, DDAL05-03, DDAL05-10, etc. Is there a specific order for these, or just an organization scheme? DDAL05-03 translates to "Dungeons and Dragons Adventure League Season 5 Module 03". The CCC-Tarot-01-01 is a DM Guild module from D&D Adventure League in their Tetraology series of modules. From my understanding, all the Adventure League stuff runs just like Pathfinder Society. Where there is usually a storyline that is followed in a season but it is not necissary of you to follow it sequentially. The preceding module only slightly leads into the next one (similar names/places) but each one can be done as a stand alone adventure. For example, one might have you clear out the basement of a church that is infested with kobolds. The next one might have you investigate a nearby Manor where they believe that the Lord is sending the kobolds to retrieve an artifact from the church. Etc. Aard_Rinn
Anything DDAL is an Adventurers League 5e DnD module. DDALSeason#-Module#, I believe, though I could be wrong on the third.

haldir
Just wanted to post a big "THANKS!!" to @Dragoneye. Some reason, Occulus, the undead beholder was a major "paint blocker" in terms of getting figures painted up for the Con this year. I stumbled upon the website/blog with her excellently painted up version & for reason I can't explain, it helped me push through the barrier. Again, thank you for the inspiration! Note: I'm assuming it's the same Dragoneye on her as the blog, as there are mentions of Reaper forum & ReaperCon.

spencertheman
I've never played in a DDAL game before, and am looking up character creation for it. I noticed version 8 of the player's guide is effective Aug 30. I assume that we should come with a character using that guide?

Character creation doent change much in Season 8, but the Aug30th date in technically in the draft guidance. If you make a character by season 8 rules, aboit the only difference is if you run a cleric. Season 7 (and prior) your domain had to be either life or on the lost for your deity. For Season 8, it can be any of the allowed domains (subject to PHB +1)
Sirithiliel
i have 2a question.... does / will reaper ship things to you if you're flying and buy things you can't fly with? (like, if i get the new paint set, that's a lot of liquid to try and get into a ziplock baggy for my carry on) Edited August 6, 2018 by Sirithiliel
Kheprera
A thought of concern for those attending. This post comes from Mercedes Lackey, the author, who was at GenCon this year. Spoilered for length. So, here is what happened. On Wednesday night we checked into the Marriot for Gencon and were given a newly renovated room. What did not occur to me was that this was a newly renovated room and everything was outgassing. Paint, carpet, furniture, everything. In a room with no way to vent the gas building up. And I am incredibly sensitive to that stuff. Thursday night we went to bed after a day of con work. I woke up to the alarm at 9 after 9 hours and sleep and felt like I hadn't had any. I reset the alarm for 10, same. I reset it for 11 and got up, still feeling the same. As I was getting ready, I realized I was getting more and more unsteady, dizzy, disoriented, losing my balance. I began talking to myself and heard myself slurring words. I realized I was in trouble, tried to dial 911, got 977 instead, hit the 0 on the house phone, told them I thought I was having a stroke, and please call emergency services. By the time they got there I was halucinating. When I opened the door to the paramedics, and the hotel manager, I saw the medics, the manager, and standing between them a beautiful woman with long sandy-brown wavy hair in an astronaut's orange jumpsuit. I explained what my symptoms were as best I could and THEY were convinced I was having a stroke. Meanwhile, Judy Chambers who had been gofering for me had arrived, with Bill Fawcett. Bill took over in his usual efficient manner (and he is literally my guardian angel in this). By the time we got to the hospital I could barely talk and was hallucinating like it was Woodstock. Bill and Judy were with me every step of the way, as I got EKG, EEG and MRI. I'll tell you all about the hallucinations some time, they were doozies. Bill stayed with me until I got a room, and the hallucinations and slurred speech started to clear. That was when he told me about the conversation he and the hotel manager had had about the outgassing. Bill stayed with me until about an hour after I fell asleep. By this morning I was absolutely my old self. By 10 AM I had convinced the GP, the Neurologists and the Toxicologists that I was good to release, and they turned me loose about noon. Charles Borner, another friend who was in the loop (and scheduled to stay with me when Bill couldn't) brought be back over to the con, and I managed to do my scheduled signing. I'm fine. And incredibly grateful to all of you who were so worried, and even more grateful to Judy, Chaz and especially Bill. I've been moved to another room, one of the first renovated, which had a 3 hour deep clean and an inspection with gasometers before we were allowed to set foot in it. We'll be going home Monday. Larry has been home all this time because he has a bad shoulder injury that exacerbated some upper spinal problems he had. Which is ultimately more serious than what landed me in the hospital. The hotel for ReaperCon is new. Be aware of Ms. Lackey's symptoms in case you or someone else is sensitive to off-gassing. Hopefully by now it won't be a problem, but you never know. Stay safe and healthy and enjoy the con. 1
Heisler
If it helps the hotel opened in either late December or January so there shouldn’t be a problem but better safe than sorry.

The attendant in the back put everything into a big box, slap an address label & I got my items a few days after I got home from the Con. Very nice, that Reaper will do that for you if needed.

Plan B now I am going with wire and millput for tree limbs for the time chicken to sit in.
