I'm Guindyloo, Xenomorph Queen and Empress of the Moon, AMA

Recommended Posts

So I'd been thinking about doing this for a while. A recurring theme in my life is that people sometimes find me difficult to get to know. Because of the way I was raised, I tend to be very guarded and I have social anxiety, so I don't talk about myself very much, except for in small spurts. Answering questions is generally easier than bringing things up randomly on my own and a few other people have recently started up their own AMA's and I thought, eh, why not go ahead and post this up?

So ask me silly questions or legit ones and I'll either give you a silly answer or a legit answer, but this is an Ask Me Anything, so no questions are off limits, so long as they're in line with the rules of the forum. ::P:

Which fictional character would you bring to life and why?

I could answer so many things to this it's not even funny. I love fantasy worlds and the thought of bringing that to life is very tempting....but I have to go with the first answer that popped into my mind:

Long John Silver from Treasure Island.

Treasure Island is the only book that I've read more than 3 times, in fact, I've read it over 20 times at this point, though not in the past few years. The character of Long John Silver has always absolutely fascinated me - I think it's how convincing he is as this likeable, jovial father figure and then his duplicitous nature when you discover the truth about him.

I'd like to sit and listen to his stories, even knowing that he'd betray me in the end.

Incidentally, Muppet Treasure Island is my favourite adaptation of the book and subsequently Tim Curry is my favourite portrayer of Long John.

What planet do you intend to destroy first?

I would never destroy a planet! We colonize, not destroy. You humans are way too sensitive about being colonized, geez.

So, what is your opinion on airlocks?

Is it your intention to be cruel? That was my cousin that got blown out of the airlock, btw, but I'm still very sensitive about it.

How much money can you fit in your belly button?

I came out of an egg and a chest, I don't have a belly button.

*the room darkens slightly as mystical bolts of colour fly inside, each swirling around a central point and coming closer and closer until they combine to form into Pezler the Polychromatic* Greetings from the Wizard Most Wild, everyone! As you may know, I came from another place some time ago during my travels. I'm a wild mage, planes traveler, tavern owner, demiplane creator, and member of the Scroll of the Month Club. I have journeyed through many planes of existence in my 3154 years, and have seen many wondrous things! I have known vampyres, gods, demons and faeries, and have met many more interesting people since coming here! I am single, enjoy casting new spells, creating magic items, shapechanging, long walks on the Astral Plane, and.....*shuffles through the loose pages in his hands*....whoops, that's my singles ad. *tosses pages over his shoulder, walks along vast rows of books and scrolls* Well, since I'm here, I am a vast repository of knowledge and invite you to take advantage of all the research that this epic-level mage has done. Ask about all things mundane and arcane, secular and divine, local and multiversal! No question is too odd, and the answers may surprise you! Reasonable rates!
      Revel in the chaos, everyone!

I've really enjoyed reading all of the Ask Me Anything threads and getting to know people better, so I finally decided to start one of my own.
Feel free to ask me about anything: my likes, dislikes, past, present, future, family, footwear, etc. A silly question will likely receive a silly answer, and I reserve the right to respond to any question with cute cat pictures. Because if there's one thing this forum needs, it's more cute cat pictures.

Okay - having looked through those other AMA threads I figured that would be a fun thing.
      So ask me :-D
aaah! one rule though: I might not answer if
      ... it gets too private
... too far into my job
      ... I don't understand the question.
