Randomness XIII: Cognitive Dissonance While You Wait

Recommended Posts

Finally tracked down Corporea's thread on painting faces but a lot of the images are broken.

I mean, it could be worse because I at least got to take her face painting class so I've got the hand-out, but I'm sure she had examples of various skin tones and I'd love to find those before I start working on my nativity project.  Should have taken pictures of her examples in class.

Apparently my review is either today or tomorrow...it's not too much to hope for a raise? (Plus earlier I expressed interest in the opening of a slightly higher position in the same dept)

Yeah... I have class regrets.  Should have written down all of the paints in one of them.  There was no handout and no response after ReaperCon to clarify my memory.  Oh well... $40 lesson in notetaking with some general guidelines on how to recreate what we did in class.  Experimentation will ensue later on with what I did write down by the end of the weekend.

I have coffee.

I found a slice of pizza in the back of the fridge leftover from Saturday's D&D. Gonna roll a fort save and eat it anyway

Today's webinar is on polymer chemistry in biomedical applications. They're shoving 2 speakers into an hour and a half: one on novel new polymers for tissue scaffolding, one on nanomaterials for drug delivery.

I am not at a thousand yet

I clearly have read too many comic books - my brain refuses to look at that and not see an X-Men costume...

Now I can't unsee it.

My one regret from taking classes at ReaperCon 07. I took a Robert Cruse Speedpainting Class.

I should have taken notes. Everyone can tell how well that took.

Have you PM'd her to let her know? If you ask nicely I'm sure she'd repost them.

If it's in the fridge, it's generally good for a full week after purchase, a week and a half if it's securely wrapped.

Leftover pizza left out on the kitchen counter is good for at least four days.

I have performed multiple scientific studies on the subject.

NOTE: YMMV. @Mad Jack has "mad" in his name not because he has anger issues. Pizza left out for four days is to be considered unsafe. The week in the fridge is acceptable, however after 3 days bacteria has started and even if no fuzzy growth or odd smell can be detected, it may be unsafe. My go-to method is that Day Three is "Eat All The Leftovers" day.

Good for him!  It's not like he can't talk to us anyways.  Plus he will be able to tell KS backers what he really thinks once he's no longer the mouthpiece.

Good luck Bryan!
