I keep sixpacks of small 42.5gram boxes of raisins in a desk drawer at work. They're just great as an afternoon 'pick me up' and hunger dampener before the end of the day. (Never go grocery-shopping while hungry... )

As long as the plastic wrap is untouched they can be stored for ages, but after I take one box I need to finish the other 5 in a week or so, before they start drying out.

The tiny 'halloween portion' boxes aren't sealed in plastic, so they allow the contents to dry out.

Just yet another reason to ban Halloween...

You know what I love, but which is going to make me sound like an old person? Prunes. Prunes are delicious.

Can't wait for next week. Two 12 hour shifts at work, then 5 days off. Then, next month, I get almost 2 weeks off for the cost of like 3 or 4 days of vacation time.

"Don't yuck another's yum."

Sorry, keep your chocolate chips out of my oatmeal cookies. Can't stand chocolate in my oatmeal cookies. I prefer the raisins. To each, their own.

Big, ooey, gooey, soft, and warm oatmeal raisin cookies are awesome to me.

Don't like pineapple on your pizza, don't add it. Don't like pie? Don't eat it.

I've had what amounts to apple streudel on a pizza crust. It's awesome.

And prunes are good, too. Craisins aren't too bad, but just not in my oatmeal cookies.

Now, dried apple in oatmeal cookies is something I need to explore.

No doubt. Chainmail is not a great choice for protection against blunt force trauma.

All this week I've been staying up far too late even if we hadn't had the DST time change.

Today is the kid's 8th birthday.  We're four months shy of the fifth anniversary of his placement with us and four years since his adoption.  He's been My Son in all the ways that matter for nearly all those five years.

But man, when early trauma becomes an Anxiety Firehose and manifests itself in spoiled ingratitude, let's just say I'm glad he's at school and I'm at work.

We call chainmail bruises "hamburger bruises" in the SCA because of their tendency to have the pattern of packaged ground beef. And yep, chain does absolutely nothing against blunt objects. It's great for keeping you from getting sliced up, but the only thing it's doing for the actual impact is maybe slowing it down a fraction just because chain is heavy and supposed to hang somewhat loose on you. You still feel like someone hit you with a club though.

If ReaperBryan is leaving, who is going to be in charge of House Tabletop?!?

I'd like to take this opportunity to throw my hat in the ring.

Wouldn't be the worst choice...

On the other hand I don't see why @Dr. Wyrm can't remain head of house... Or pick his own successor! (Me)

So, how many gallons of paint am I allowed and what size dunk tank?

GEM

Rubber apron, boots and gloves optional.

Has to be painted to a table top standard!

Anyone ever just have an off night when painting?  Where you just can't make the brush or the paint do what you want it to?

I had one of those nights tonight. I painted for about an hour and it was just a mess!

Yup...

In Pizza related issues: my personal opinion is that pineapple shouldn't appear on pizza, but it is a free country, so you all can enjoy.

But hey, I like Bacon, onion and green olive pizza.

Also, I don't like fruit pies.

Good luck and best of success!

WOAH! Hey, calm down now! That's a bit hasty! No need to ban a perfectly fun holiday just because some people like giving out raisins and toothbrushes. Just, no. No.
