Paint Monk
I was so excited that I painted my first figure yesterday, I thought I'd take a shot at another one. And it's another first, because I've never painted a dragon (or anything even close) before. I was actually sort of happy with this one, although the wings could use some serious work. Thanks to everyone for taking a minute to look as I keep trying to learn how to paint! Glitterwolf
Very good! You're doing great! Might I suggest painting the eyes black/red/green/yellow? Any one of these colours will make them stand out and provide a contrast and focus point. I think it would make him look even better, And If you're up to it a very small stripe in the eye as a pupil would be awesome. Just suggestions, it is already great!
VolksFest
What he said.. You are off to a very good start. As Glitterwolf aptly described, even a small spot of color on an otherwise monochrome image can be stunning. Couple that with your elementary school color theory (read contrasting & complimentary colors) and BANG!
