There are many companies who make flocking materials, but not many in North America who cater to a gaming audience. My goal is to allow for a varied range of colors that accommodate specific types of terrain, and that complement the environment where your game takes place. Huge Miniatures is the culmination of 6 months of experimentation, in an attempt to make the highest quality of scenic flock and basing materials.

I've figured out an efficient method for creating realistic foliage, with a range of colors and blends that allows itself to bring your miniatures, role playing campaign or battlefield to life. I'm pleased to share my ideas with you and I hope you can find a place on your table for exciting new terrain!

I wanted to create a more realistic looking foliage without using sawdust, which in my opinion just looks like dyed sawdust. I've experimented with different varieties of foam, and methods of shaping it to resemble foliage. Using foam also allows for the creation of blends containing multiple colors that all stand out and complement each other. After months, I've come across a process that I'm incredibly pleased with.

I chose a set of colors that can find use in historic, fantasy, and sci-fi environments. Both the loose foliage and 2mm static grass can find use when basing miniatures, and building terrain.

Great for grass, tufts, trees, bushes, shrubs, weeds, ground cover, and more!

I may go in for a couple bags of flock but only because the price is ok.  I may just try to make my own... not sure what type of foam I should use though.

Just a fun little surprise I happened across earlier.  No pictures of the dice and it's ending today, but some really nice ones on their store and I've friends who own some so I thought I'd give it a go.

      About
Welcome to the Great Wall draft page – the campaign is not live yet, but we will be gradually adding more and more information about the game here! We are incredibly excited to hear your feedback, so please let us know what you think. If it looks interesting to you - make sure to click the "Notify me on launch" button!
The Great Wall is a new major board game from Awaken Realms (creators of Nemesis, Tainted Grail, Etherfields and many other acclaimed products). Players will take the roles of generals of an ancient oriental empire who lead the defence against ruthless hordes. You will need to gather allied advisors, manage your workers, recruit armies and, together with other players, raise and defend the Great Wall! As the game progresses, you will often need to co-operate or negotiate with other players, but make no mistake – there can be only one winner!
This fresh worker (and soldier!) placement game for 1-4 players faces them with many difficult choices and often pushes them to interact with each other. You will be assigning your workers to eleven different locations, such as Tea House, Quarry, Messenger Post, or Barracks, using special Command cards that have additional effects. Production in locations activates ONLY when all their slots are filled, but filling them all by yourself can result in a penalty. On top of that, players can buy overseers who will give additional output every time a location becomes activated. This creates a lot of involving long- and short-term strategies.
Each player starts with one unique General, characterized by their asymmetric power, as well as the production level. From there, you will further customize your economic engine and fine-tune your strategy by recruiting advisors who provide additional bonuses.
Eventually, a Wall Defence phase beings, where players place previously build armies on Horde Cards – earning Honor (Victory points) and looting resources from the defeated troops. This requires smart management of three types of units: Archers, Spearmen and Cavalry. Players place these soldiers one by one, playing the Tactics cards that create another layer of interaction.
Gain meditation by shooting with the Zen Archer, then spend meditation on a Cavalry Squad Leader to move your Cavalry around the battlefield faster, and – finally – finish off by getting extra Honor for each of the Cavalry’s engagements thanks to the Banner Holder. There are endless possibilities for great combos and memorable plays.
On top of that, your Advisors and General might give your troops extra abilities, such as shooting twice or looting twice the resources!
All of the above makes the Great Wall one of our most strategically involving designs that will be appreciated by many different groups of players: those who love euro-styled games with their intricate economies and engine-building, those who love over-the-table play, bargaining and negotiations – and finally, those who simply like to wage war on a beautiful map.

We all keep knick knacks and trinkets to make things from in the future.  Whether it's some small bit, like dragon pendant I got from Salvation Army for 50 cents or some cardboard forms that hold tech devices in place that look like good buildings for Battletech.

I wrote about Bottlecaps as bases a while ago.

Recently, I found the plastic mounting bracket that's been floating around my bench and figured out what I wanted to start making.  I usually draw out what I intend to do, but the shape of the bracket defined its purpose.

This compilation uses a bunch of various finds.  So towards that end, I am going to have a little contest.

Guess all of the items which I used in here and you will get a random Bones mini.  I will provide a numbered list and one clue because one SET is fairly hard to figure out.

      1. ______
      2. ______
      3. ______
      4. ______
      5. ______ Bracket

Clue:  These odd pieces were disassembled from a triangular cap.

The bricks are actual brick I bought off of Wish.  I got the standard bricks plus the square in gray and brick red.  I also have small triangles in brick red.

The stone was split length wise so it was nice and flat. The terrain is a custom grind of bark, black walnut bark, dark cork and and coarse normal cork.

The gears are from Michael's jewelry and findings section.  Some of the white on the terrain is baking soda mixed with super glue.

      Here's the piece primed...

      Stay tuned and enjoy.
