Lars Porsenna
Over on the Oathmark FB page they posted some artwork previews from the book. One of the paintings is of Elf light infantry (looks like the current elf figures, but sans armor). Also the rulebook is delayed until April... Twalrus
Oof, my need for a 3rd ed WHFB wood/high elf army is flaring up.
PaganMegan
I was assembling the female wizards tonight. My sprue out of the two sprue box. We should have bought at least one more box. Grump let me have the metal besom that came with. So one has a pointy hat, broom, cauldron, and cat. Distressing her robes with a knife, to be more raggedy.
TheAuldGrump
There are a lot of bits and pieces to customize your female wizard. Worth it just for the extra parts. paintybeard
Just seen this on the North Star Facebook page for Rangers of Shadowdeep: It just says: "...coming early in 2020" I'm guessing they are plastic? Whatever, I've got to have that ogre! 6
TheAuldGrump
They remind me a bit of the older GW plastics - in a good way. And I want that ogre. The Auld Grump
JoeGKushner
Probably metals. I have several of the ranger figures and they are metal.

Expand the popularity. That ogre would be a great start for some cool builds.

paintybeard
Grump: try the North Star figures page: http://www.northstarfigures.com/ or go straight to the twitter link: https://twitter.com/NorthStarFigs/status/1206687443707138052?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^embeddedtimeline|twterm^profile%3ANorthStarFigs|twcon^timelinechrome&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.northstarfigures.com%2F Apparently all the figures will be metal, so that is a heavy ogre... TheAuldGrump
Couldn't find it on the North Star site - but Twitter worked fine. I have the PDF for the old version - what changes were made to Rangers of Shadow Deep, since I know the PDFs of the new version were sent out... today! *EDIT* I will name the ogre 'Lennie' The question is 'Who's gonna be George?'. I've just been re-reading a lot of Steinbeck, first time in about 30 years. Very moved by "Grapes of Wrath" at present. As you say, great books, but no punches are pulled. lowlylowlycook
Got some wolf riders. When I decided that I needed two boxes I guess I really wasn't considering the addition of the metals. Also picked up some GW gobbos (in green plastic) from whatever their skirmish game is. Since the Oathmark wolves' posing are a bit lacking in comparision, I put the metals onto some Ferensian Wolves and the shaman on a Reaper wolf.
