My mom won the yearly loofah war and gifted my dad a loofah. It has been a prank war going on twenty years now.

Gave my son in law a lovely blanket he'll like, packaged in a box that claims to contain a tuxedo made entirely of bacon.

No, although we are giving a belated Chanukah gift that's part whimsy and part functional.

Neither, although I have done both in the past.

 

(A prank gift for me means something silly, and completely useless, rather than something that pulls a real prank on the recipient.)

I don't know if it counts as a /prank/ ... but Mr. Thorne did get a NO! button to put on his desk (it literally yells some variant of NO! when pushed) ... and, because I am a /totally snarky snot/ - a trebuchet. That he's going to have to assemble, but.. a trebuchet. He will be able to threaten co-workers with hurled ... whatevers. I suggested marshmallows. *chortle*

I will need some oven time, I will bake my chocolate cake and make the frosting...  Heck, with the number of participants, I would need to make 3 or four of them.  I'm okay with this.  But not until next year at least.  If it's possible, I would do so.

I have made 3 small monsters happy (my children).  And I had 4 nieces/nephews that were also made happy through small gifts.  I have also given gifts to people who did not expect it due to trying to show more appreciation towards some of my friends, as well as due to them having no one else around for Christmas.  I was very happy to have seen their smiles.

No prank gifts given or received.  Given my sporadic forum time, especially recently, I am unable to take questioner right yet.  perhaps later in the year if things clear up.

About the only prank gifts I did was I used a couple Reaper boxes for gift cards I gave  the kids. I taped em under the flaps. At first they thought they were empty, but my son went snooping into the box & found the card.

It wasn’t intended as a prank, but I recycled a Reaper box to pack some specialty beef jerky for my son. He at least considered the idea that miniatures were inside, although with his grad school schedule, the jerky will be used sooner...

Yeah, between work and the essays I have to write for applications, I'm going to end up not finishing the mini I was going to put into a competition on time :( Grad school woes.

What is something significant that you want to do in life that you have not yet done? 

What is something very small that you want to do... just because? (Can be as simple as "eat an entire block of cheese in a sitting"). Quest: Go do that very small thing. Today.

I want to own my own business, ideally a hobby shop or something hobby-related. It's a long term goal, which we're working towards.

There are many small things I'd like to do, but with not too many hours left in the day I'll choose something that I can do without leaving the comfort of my home and share a bottle of cider with my wife.
