Ebonwrath the Fairy Dragon by Glitterwolf D20 Rainbow Dragon Challenge

So I finished my D20 Rainbow Dragon Challenge as given by  @Cyradis,  @Sirithiliel and @Pezler the Polychromatic.

And finally my Dragon!

I choose Ebonwrath and made him a Fairy Dragon with Butterfly wings. He just landed near a wild river to smell the flowers..

I gotta admit I thought this was going to be one of the D&D Fairy Dragons; the ones with the butterfly wings & the ear-to-ear grinds. With this one you had better say "fairy" in a respectful manner...or else.

He/she painted up BEAUTIFULLY in an imaginative fashion. The base is a GORGEOUS creation in its own right. VERY WELL DONE, that Wolf!

Excellent work, it really looks like it's a natural denizen in the fae realms! Especially love the choppy water as well.

It was a fun challenge.

But now..after painting a goodie two shoes fairy Dragon, I need to paint something EVIL again!!!

Fantastic concept! That base thou, love the water & the effects.

 

Now that I have my 3 colors I need to put some real effort into my entry. Hopefully January!

My brain is now hurt. I can't look at that without seeing a butterfly or a Japanese zero... with teeth.. and horns.  

 

Nice job though. I like the work and the paint scheme is terrific, if mind boggling for me 

 

One question/comment:  eye patterns like that usually develop to hide from predators, what is he hiding from???
