Despite all my Rage, I am still just a rat...in the network

So I decided to drop the Engineer and go with a Operative, but stayed Ysoki.

Working with a smile time private investigation company seemed like a good life for a youngling fascinated by systems both electronic and mechanical. Learning the ropes and honing his skills, learning a bit about how to shoot, how to fight, and how to avoid needing to do either. Skirting the law was hardly a problem when the goal was mostly to help people, and the team, small though it might be, was close like family. Unfortunately sometimes people slip over the edge, and their actions, or reactions are not always reasonable, or sane. A simple divorce case, run of the mill, in every way turned to tragedy when too much was learned, too much pressure put on, and a simple explosive in a package tore his life, and his 'family' apart. When he was dug from the rubble, everything was gone. Revenge was simple enough, but it doesn't bring healing, and a lie adrift is no life for a young Ysoki, but a sudden, surprise request might be the key to changing that....

Looks cool.  Also, even though it looks like it's not completely finished I did notice a couple of things that you'll want to make sure of.

Looks like you left off the +1 Con from Spacefarer.

You should have a +1 insight bonus to init and all skills from Operative's Edge.

Doesn't look like your ability modifiers auto filled for your skills.

You get a free rank in Computers and Engineering due to your Hacking Specialty.  That frees up the two points you spent to be used on other skills. You also get the Skill Focus feat in Computers and Engineering (+3 insight bonus; does not stack with Operative's Edge)

I think your Hit Points should be 8 (2 from Ysoki, and 6 from Operative) and Stamina should be 6.

ETA: I have tweeked my spells slightly.  I think the biggest difference for magic is that all magic classes behave like sorcerers, so spell choice becomes key.

Ok

I'm gonna try to get the post up later today but more likely tomorrow. Tonight is the oddball start shift for me at work so who knows how much longer I'll be up today.

Post whenever you can once it's up.

Excellent.  I'm done monkeying around with my sheet.  Of note, for ease of reference, I have copied the text of all of my spell descriptions to the statistics block of my character sheet, so if you want to look it up without having to refer to the book, that's where you can find it.

ETA:  any languages that would be particularly useful?  I had one left open.  If not, I'll go with Vesk.

The common races is always a good idea.

There is always the language of Eox (Eoxian) :zombie:

I will say, since this is still a new system & setting, if you guys wanna keep your languages & after a few sessions (errr ummm yah that) add whatever language you want, we can do that. Say you knew it all along.

Apologies for the delay. I'll have the start up today.

Real life schedules are still a thing.  No rush needed on my end... we have been dealing with the whole Meltdown / Specter prevention and the forced antivirus update mandate.  And then I get home for 45 minutes before heading out to Play practice at the theatre.  Free Time is non-existent this last week...

This reminds me of one of my favorite characters. I made a human (Corellian IIRC) gambler for d6 Star Wars rpg. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a blaster but we had a nice fleet of starships thanks to his high gambling skill.

Also his fast-talk was great too. He convinced a pirate that he was Vader's right hand man. I had a funky for the rest of the campaign. ::D:

I feel the pain.  Been rather guilty of not being able to finish polishing Xap this week.  He's in mythweavers desperately seeking a backstory but I've had about 6 hours all week that I haven't been in meetings that I have to pay attention to at work and by the time I get home I have just about enough time to crawl into bed and do it again.

I'll finish this weekend, but I had a question on skill synergy feat.  I think the feat allows you to add 2 new skills to your class list.  I know in general bonuses don t stack but does the class skill +3 stack with the +2 from the class stealth bonus?  I think yes but I want to make sure I'm doing this right.

Xap' s basic character is a mechanic from a recently discovered Yoski world that was building a worldship for colonisation.  He was supposed to be one of the many engineer minions to keep the great ship running when a drift ship showed up in their star system, effecively crushing the need for a generation ship.  While negotiations were going on Xap crept aboard the ship and when the ship left so did he.

That's the idea at any rate...
