Once upon a time, there was a sad little clown named Sadwick, who became the king of Silence.

This could be so totally be from "The Whispered World". Great work as always!

Thanks for the reply, Sister. I checked out The Whispered World...checking out your references is a fine way to familiarize myself with things I was unaware before.

You're right; i.e., there is quite a resemblance .

It’s such a beautiful, twisted, atmospheric vignette.

Thank you for the kind reply, Pingo. I am delighted you like it. It is rather strange...I can relate to that.

You have a wonderful way of making me aware of the fact that I am completely lost in my own world of quotes and references. Haha.

Being lost in a world of our own is something we have in common. Letting other Folk get a glimpse into it is the least we can do....they are entertaining places.

There is nothing so satisfying than beginning a new year with a smile and warm feeling, elicited from one

of Malafactus' creations!!  2018 just started out right in my book.

Thanks so much  my friend.

Jay

"..nothing ever truly belonged in or to the Spookywood Forest really.. This tree here, could vanish tomorrow, or these nasty thickets could be gone in an instant... Take these mushrooms, for instance.. They seemed to have their own agenda, they played tricks and acted as they owned the place.. but they were not constant either, each day could decimate them by the score and welcome a legion more in...

Yet none of this was the case for a single person of note: The King of Nothing. He was the only thing that was truly at home in the woods.. His beady little eyes kept a constant vigil on the woods and its spookful denizens... He smiled secretly while plotting his next evil scheme that would teach those outsiders the price of prying into his business... He bode his time.."

I am truly, once again at a complete loss of words Al. Your work just inspires and fills my head with stories.. The King of Nothing and the wonderful "base" he is perched upon are just fantastically superb creations and I am utterly unable to properly praise the awesomeness of the art you are presenting.

Thank you and please keep them coming in...
