Question for Jan 18:

Are you a prompt person? Why or why not?

As with some others here, I hate being late and think it is discourteous to others if you are late.  Basically, if you name a time and place - I will come early.  Some might even say prematurely...

I would like to be prompt.  I don't like making people late.

By myself, I even manage it most of the time.

Adding in other people invariably means I end up being a little late because I'm no longer in charge of planning.  Or, I can be in charge of planning, but no one else listens so any actual timing in the plan goes out the window.

I've learned not to stress about it since I have no control over it.

Usually, yes. I absolutely hate being late. However, if I don't have a set time or deadline, it is easy for me to flounder and procrastinate.

This ^ exactly. Perfect answer.

I'm that guy that hates being late so I leave with 2x the amount of time needed to get there just in case something happens.  So I usually end up early...but I don't want to be too early, so I drive around aimlessly till I'm supposed to be there and arrive exactly on time.

I have done this, but only 2-3 times.

Military...you don't want to be late...

In some branches of the US Military,

On Time=5 minutes ahead of posted schedule,

(or so I have heard).

What snack currently brings you the most pleasure?

One of two:

Peanut Butter Capt'n Crunch Cereal

or

Blackberries, Strawberries, and Pepper Colby Jack cheese.

Yes, at least 5 minutes; 10-15 is better.

That's the basis of the last line in my reply.

(Early is on time, on time is late)

Deep fried pickles.  Failing that, Oatmeal Raisin Apricot cookies from Cookie Love.  Probably because both are not only absolutely amazing, I also rarely get to have them (especially the deep fried dill spears, the closest place to my house that did them changed from an Irish pub to... Some generic sports pub, blech - and they knew that Shephard's pie is to be made with lamb!!! (it was really really good too))

If it's one I have to make, I'll go with a basic, "plain" three ingredient bannock.  It's amazing what frying dough (that's mixed with water and sugar) in oil will do ^_^
