Flumphs. I can't stress this enough.

Dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals. They're extremely underrepresented and would be highly utilized by others. Not to mention that they'd be awesome to paint. (Giants riding Indricotheres)

YES! A thousand times, yes!

If you were asked to design a new line of minis for an under-represented segment of the hobby, what would you create?

That is pretty much what I am doing. Sentient Mushrooms & Trees with Faerie Loonies & such. It is Steam-Whacko-Whimsy-Punk.

What was your favorite bit of last week?

(if you had a sucky week, please try to think of some moment, no matter how brief, that brought you at least a little joy.)

Dnd was good. Got some praise for having completed all the "side quests" Hubby set up for us

Other than that... the parts where I was in bed were good.

A lot of what I'd want has already been covered. But, dragony kobolds, draconian females of various classes, and ELEPHANTS! I'd prefer the elephants in bones though

A friend of mine and a player in my campaign (who also hosts her own series of oneshots every two months or so and gets my minis for it) volunteered to try and paint with me. It's just the second time someone has painted minis with me, the other being at my bf's birthday party, but that was more supervising and less me getting to hang out and paint.

She painted one of the Wizkids skeletons we had laying around, and I think it went really well. She had fun and we might be doing this again ^.^

Like redambrosia, I would opt for a bunch of female minis. Monstrous ones to be exact, like giants, ogres (ogresses?), orcs, hobgoblins, ... Not dolled up or slimmer than their male counterparts.

That gave me an image of a female bugbear in a noir thriller's femme fatal get-up  like, not doing the sultry pose, just standing there like "wtf is this nonsense"

Went out for lunch with a friend.  The meal was nothing remarkable, but the company was priceless.

I can't say that I know enough about what's available in the hobby to know what's underrepresented, but I'd be interested in creating more in the vein of non-humanoid creatures.  Stuff like the Shambler from Darkest Dungeon, this representation of Nyarlathotep, Barachiel from Star Ocean 4, the eldritch horror from Age of Wonders 3, or Satan from Shin Megami Tensei.

You sure you don't live in Edmonton?  Our buses are all "Your reliable way to work" to which I always add "if you want to be late when we say you'll be ten minutes early".   They operate on a schedule that usually will have you half an hour early for work, or five minutes late.  So weird.

When I lived in Austin that was exactly how Cap Metro worked, except for the fact that sometimes the 7 or the 331 would get "lost with all hands", not showing up at the scheduled time (possibly eaten by Rodan). The 30 line supposedly existed but I only saw it twice, each time it was a harbinger of unpleasant things, so I suspect it's actually some form of the Flying Dutchmen.

Jan 20th: In the words of Homer Simpson, "Trying is the first step towards failure". I would have to vote failure as being worse, assuming that one keeps the trying confined to what is realistically achievable. While possible to learn through failure, it is less wasteful of resources and time to learn from the failures of others. (Such as with the Tide Pods. Which I hope the kids stop munching on before they get banned, I like to do my laundry with them.)

Jan 21st: I finally got around to finishing the main quest on Fallout 4. I started the game in August, this is the longest it's ever taken me to finish a Fallout as I lost interest 3/4s the way through.

Jan 22nd: modern civilians, resturant workers in paticular, with armed/unarmed limb options. Also cats, regular felines of various breeds in a mixture of scales. 28mm non military vehicles, 1940-currant. Fantasy and Chronoscope type figures in scale useful for 1/25. (Bones would work nicely I think)

I'd do what I've been bugging Reaper to do for years, approach Studio Foglio and get the Girl Genius license, and produce a line of steampunk minis based on Foglio designs, as well as the major characters from the webcomic.

There's bound to be a skirmish game in there somewhere.

It snowed four inches here on Wednesday.  This is a lot for where I live.  Like I said before, I've always liked snow.  The one downside was that I had to work from home so I didn't get that much time to enjoy it.

Miniatures of sci-fi and/or cyberpunk heroines who can hold their own and are reasonably dressed.

Since I've been playing the game far too much for my own good-  'Grim Dawn' miniatures in heroic scale would be cool.  I doubt they'd sell well.

Probably the obvious answer from me but I would go with Chinese wushu miniatures.  Would be cool to paint up some of the classic characters from famous Chinese wushu classics.

Silly answer: Anthro foxes, wolves, and dragon's, because you can never have enough.

More serious answer: it would be nice to see a line of goo creatures... Like actual full on sentient, anthropomorphic creatures made of goo.

This, a thousand times this, in both full on feral (rawrrr,  I'm a $24.99 USD bones dragon size!), quadruped (I dunno, some sort of Cerberus big wuffy size), and Anthro because reasons.
