Do you have any amusing tales about you forgetting something?

I forgot where I was going once. I got in my car to go to the mall. Drove, parked, got out of the car, walked to the front door, and realized only then, that I was at work, not the mall. It was a weekend day, and the parking lot was completely empty.

I can't think of any.  I've got amusing stories about making really dumb mistakes when I've forgotten to think at times, but that's a different question :lol:

I often forget what minis I have and end up with multiple copies. At one point I had 5 Roller Girls and three Dark Maidens. Some of these have found their way into BoGWs.

The best biscuits ever!

My grandfather and myself were going to make sausage gravy and eggs on one of the few times we saw each other as a kid.  SO, being that I was the one closest to him, and he wanted to make buttermilk biscuits from scratch, we did that.  Now, looking back at it, we did many things correctly on that recipe, but we forgot to set a timer.

We had hockey pucks.   :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Thankfully, since I wasn't in complete charge at that point, we still get to laugh about it.

One day, many years ago, I woke up, started coffee, and began my morning, but I couldn't find my shoes.

While hunting for my shoes, I poured the coffee, and set up a bowl of cereal. About then, I realized that I was already holding the milk. But I still couldn't find my shoes.

I poured the milk onto the cereal, turned around, and opened the fridge to put the milk away. Guess where my shoes were?

I'm going to go for the guess of "boot soup", or more appropriately in this case, "boot cereal"

As far as I can determine, I brought the shoes with me to the kitchen with the intention of putting them on, and then, for some reason, exchanged them for the milk when the concept of "cereal" crossed my still mostly asleep mind. Most mornings, I'm on autopilot until the coffee is ready, and that occasion was no exception. Plus, I might have been hung over; the time frame was right...

The number of times I've tried to put the milk away where the cereal goes in my current home is higher than I'd like to say.  And the cereal goes in the small cabinet above my stove. I feel your pain, but, sadly, I've been stone cold sober every darn time. (thank you anxiety meds that don't mix with happy adult drinks...  at all).

I watched my siblings in their latest theater performance, Les Miserables! They clearly loved hanging out with the rest of the cast, got along well with everyone of various genders and ages, and rocked their parts. I was very impressed with how my mom handled the content of the show (she didn't know the school version would still be addressing teenage things). The kids finally got some sort of talk from the way they handled their parts, and it was honestly a great way to break down that sheltering wall. I'm very proud of my family, and my goodness, can all those kids sing! ^_^

I have to amend my answer! I remembered a Thing!

So, day of my wedding. The ladies are all in the tent, putting final touches on each other, and my soon to be sister in law asks me if there was anything else I needed. I froze with the horrified realization that I forgot my vows. Within seconds of this realization I became convinced that when it came time to say anything I wouldn’t be able to speak. Like, ever again :lol:

It really helped me a lot when my groom was able to say all the things he was supposed to say. So when I had to talk I was able to squeak out the correct stuff.

But the walk walk to the altar was an anxious one :lol:
