The Hellboy board game will be a co-operative experience in which players face off against some of the comic’s most famous foes. Up to four people take control of iconic BRPD members, such as Hellboy, Abe Sapien and Roger the Homunculus, before exploring gothic locations and uncovering ancient artifacts.

Set to make its Kickstarter debut in April 2018, the Hellboy board game will feature stunning, pre-assembled plastic miniatures that accurately capture the look and feel of Mike Mignola’s world famous comic series.

“Hellboy has a great cast of characters, diverse locations and legendary monsters from the pages of folklore and myth,” said Ronnie Renton, Mantic CEO. “The comics provide a fantastic foundation on which to build an immersive, fun and fast-paced co-operative board game that will let players experience some of their favorite moments from the series.”

I could get behind this if there are some good minis.

Any feedback on other Mantic Kickstarters?

Hit and miss.

They have made some very good minis, some very bad minis, and their rules are usually ok.

They are rarely if ever on schedule, but seem to deliver eventually.

They are very bad at metal.

Any feedback on other Mantic Kickstarters?

Their early kickstarters were rather messy, and as Werkrobotwerk mentioned they can be a bit hit and miss regarding game or mini quality and delays can happen.

I liked their Mars Attacks game and their Big Stompy Robots and Flying Saucers were some of my favourite minis.

The martians and other minis were made of a softer plastic that I would have liked.

The street scenery accessories were also nicely done although I wasn't much of a fan of the concept for their modual building kits.

I just received the first wave of Star Saga kickstarter and I'm pretty happy with what I've seen so far, although I haven't  thoroughly read the rules or tried to play yet.

The minis are plastic that is a bit firmer than Bones but not a hard plastic.

I think the detail is good and I'm happy with most of the sculpts so far though the scifi furniture sets would have benefited from being a harder plastic.

Ironically one of the few Mantic kickstarters I didn't back is one of my favourite games.

Can't say enough good things about Mantics The Walking Dead game.

The minis are a good representation of the characters from the comics and there's a large assortment of zombies, each one a different sculpt.

The accessory kits have been great.(other than the measuring sets)

And I love the rules. I'd highly recommend it.

Overall I'd say that the games based on a comic franchise have been some of Mantics strongest releases so I've high hopes for Hellboy.

But... with Mantic ya never know.

After Kings of War 2 had been shipping for a while and many people (including myself) were missing stuff and getting spotty replies, Mantic implemented a new incident management system. The new system worked well for me, as I got a reply immediately and my missing items sent soon after.

The only other Mantic project I backed was TerrainCrate, which hasn't shipped yet so I have no idea how customer service is keeping up these days.

I backed TerrainCrate as well, but it is the only one of their protects that I have backed.

Thanks for the insight everyone. I will watch for more details. I love Hellboy, so this could tempt me a lot.

I've never backed their Kickstarters, but I have been buying their minis for a long time now.

I don't think any of their stuff is awful, but a solid chunk of it is either bland, or uninspiring.

Some of it is balls out great. Their newer space terrain bits are outstanding.

I wouldn't say they are bad at metal, wholesale. I've got a couple metal figs from them that are actually quite excellent.

In fact, I haven't personally held any of their metal that was bad. (I'm not saying it doesn't exist, just that I haven't personally encountered it.)

But given how little metal they produce, it's probably not a surprise that it wouldn't be their strong suit.

For rules, I've only ever paid attention really, to Kings of War, of which I am quite fond.

In general, though, they give you a million dudes for relatively less money. That could be bad, or good. You just have to choose carefully.

I haven't tried their kings of war metals, but the warpath ones were a mess.

ten-ur-go had legs that would self destruct under the weight of the torso

astarian kalyshi I have had 20+ copies, 0 without serious defects.

gcps LT melt face.

blaine mold making defects.

the special metal enforcer sniper was just fine.

I know I come off as critical, but I really do quite like the majority of their plastic offerings, and their accompanying print products (I forgot to mention they make an excellent dungeon tile)

As long as they stick to the same kind of material they used for starsaga, dungeon saga, and walking dead I am absolutely in on this one.

Hi, we're Crow Land Publishing, and here's our first book, Wickerpunk. A supplement book for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, with application for all fantasy and horror games, such as Pathfinder, Call Of Cthulhu and even superhero games, like Champions. It will be 275 pages.
Folk horror – horror and supernatural fiction that relies on elements of the past, folklore, superstition, the dreadful majesty of nature, the darkest urges of old religion. And old gods. Where the landscape itself is a symbol of fear and dark majesty.

Heroic fantasy – a dream of blades and magic, a dream of defiance of the dark powers of the world, where we can be our truest ideals of our self.

And when these genres collide – we have Wickerpunk.  A genre in which the ancient and natural world of the Wyld meets the imperialist world of Industry.
If you like film such as Gawain and the Green Knight, Dragonslayer and The VVitch, you'll like our book.
If you like games such as Maiden of Sker, Greedfall, and Hellblade, you’ll like our book.

If you like anime such as Princess Mononoke, The Ancient Magus’ Bride and Faery Gone, you’ll like our book.
If you like TV shows such as The Witcher, Game of Thrones, (especially the White Walkers stuff!) and the classic 1980s Robin of Sherwood, you’ll like our book.
If you like novels such as The Mists of Avalon, The Dark Is Rising and The Broken Sword, you’ll like our book.
Wickerpunk is a sourcebook that instructs GMs and players alike on what wickerpunk looks like in a game of D&D or any fantasy roleplaying game.

We have a small and short campaign live at Kickstarter.
As the clunky title suggests, It's about a big virus, his small buddy and some masked adventurers.

The all in level is 50 USD (60 Canadian) + postage

      Thanks for having a look!

I barely received my last campaign pledge from Midlam that already it has something that caught my interest.

Sisters of the Kraken Cult. The female counterparts of the previous "Onslaught of the Cult of the Kraken Lord" and "Cultists of the Kraken Lord". (I now have some regret of not getting it)

What's also interesting is the optional add-on of fish folk.

Brinewind is going to have some interesting neighbors.

      Story
After the estate of one Fomo Barrowblight (who many moons ago, and with heavily laden bags, had said he was just off for a morning walk, never to return) was sold at auction, there came to light a strange scroll that appeared to be a map of the final resting place of a lost tribe of halflings.  These cousins lived down in the scorching Southlands, amidst endless dunes that had buried whole cities and civilisations.
The newly elected (and so still very enthusiastic) Halfling Town Council had organised an expedition to make contact with their fellow halflings, with the aim of swapping some stories and recipes, and who knows, perhaps even coming back with some interesting new cakes.
And, after many great perils and travails, the expedition found itself in a mysterious location known as 'The Valley of the Things'.  Here, recipes in strange hieroglyphs were marked on tomb walls,  guarded jealously by High Priests and long mummified pastry chefs.
The expedition takes time to assuage the fears of the High Priests that they are here to steal the sacred recipes and make formal diplomatic relations.  But Fomo Barrowblight and another mysterious figure seem intent on stealing the recipe to the sacred pie and have already gleaned some of the ingredients...
      To the Mummy's Tomb!
Introducing a series of  Eight Fantasy Miniatures in 28mm scale from a halfling expedition to the burial grounds of their cousins, in the desert southlands.
        Halfling Town Council Five
The latest elected Halfling Town Council, has been responsible for launching the expedition to the distant Southlands, as always, it is made up of eight different townsfolk from all walks of life.

I've already pledged for the whole set, why haven't you?

      Story
Echoes of Camelot: Arthurian Legends is a project that will expand our 75mm resin miniature range with new and exciting models based on the Matter of Britan, particularly around the figure of King Arthur and his Knights. We have many cool surprises prepared should you help us bring this dream to life.
These miniatures have been sculpted and painted here at the Big Child Creatives studio with the collaboration of some of the most talented miniature artists out there. And what is more, they will be manufactured by our own talented team of resin casting experts. This allows us to monitor the process closely to ensure the best quality in the market and a timely delivery.
We have learned a lot from our previous campaigns, and we want to put all this experience to good use, repeating everything we did right, improving upon it, and correcting our past mistakes. We invite you to join us in this journey of discovery throughout the Matter of Britain and its amazing cast of unique characters.
This campaign is a journey of discovery, full of surprises such as custom bits to make your miniatures even more striking than they already are. Some of these kits will be Kickstarter exclusive, so those of you who choose to support us will be able to proudly show it through unique miniatures, even more full of life and character than our regular releases.
