redpiano
Hey guys and gals I need some poseable pewter chain, preferably to go along with 75mm scale, I know reaper has a little pack of chains but it's not quite the right scale and they're very short. I need something that's at least 100-120 mm long. I've tried using just necklace chain, and supergluing it into a pose, but it's incredibly fragile and looks pretty janky in the end. So if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Thanks.
Chris Palmer
Search Goggle, eBay, and/or Amazon for someone that sells Cookoo Clock chains. Edited January 13, 2018 by Chris Palmer
redpiano
Like I said in the post, I could just use normal necklace chain, but I'm looking for something I can pose dynamically rather than dangle.
Chris Palmer
Ah, I’m sorry, I misunderstood. I thought your complaint with the necklace chain was it was to small and fragile looking... the clock chain is much larger and more substantial. But, you’re right, posing would be an issue... malefactus
You could run thin floral wire through the links to allow you to pose the chain. Michael's & Hobby Lobby have some nice 26 G wire that would do the trick...I've done this a few times myself.
