Another great read.  Well done.

I can't wait to read Skorri's account of the action.

Knabe

Thanks, Knabe!

I'm looking forward to seeing Skorri's side of the story as well.  Maybe you could urge him to write a little faster.

I finally had a chance to read the Floating Hulks reports and it sounds like it was another brutal game with a high body count. Though I hate to say it, it is reassuring to see that the body count is high for everyone. After a few games I was starting to think I was a bad player.

Yes, it was brutal.  It's very hard to get out of a game without having at least a handful of figures falling.  That's one of the reasons i like it more than Frostgrave at the moment.  Our Frostgrave games had become too "gentlemanly" with everyone trying to use magic to avoid taking casualties while they grabbed the treasure.

We had our 5th game this past Saturday, and oh my, what a fiasco!   I need to learn how to start rolling dice better...::P:

"...Distracted by this new threat, the Wasp turned from the Archer and in a flash grabbed the unfortunate Crewman with two of it's good legs, and swinging it's body forward thrust it's long saber like stinger into Vilkse, before he even knew what hit him. The Elf crumpled to the ground, a gaping wound in his chest.  Salin now came up to join the fight, and swung wildly at the insect, his sword hitting, but not cutting into the beast's chitinous body. As the Beast turned to face this new threat, Randy saw his chance, and plunged his dagger into the Wasp's side... "

Well Skorri finally put quill to parchment and completed his log of his last expedition to one of the jungle covered islands of the Ghost Archipelago chain:  The Abandoned Watchtowers

Hope you enjoy it!

Great report and photos, Knabe!    Well worth the wait. ::):

If you're going to beat Herndon, you're going to have to stop letting him walk away with the Central Treasure... ::P:

Six weeks later, and we finally got our June game played!   We did the Blood Totems scenario from the core rulebook, and it went really well.

Lord Fortrywn's report and a bunch of photos have been posted: The Blood Totems

"...Marny was still in the other valley with Finil.  She raised her hands to cast another Bramble spell, making sure the valley was well sealed off.   As the Warden finished, there was a sharp pain above her hip that quickly turned into a hot searing fire radiating up her back and down her right leg.  (-8 HP and Poisoned) She let out a cry as she stumbled forward  and fell to the ground.  Finil immediately saw the arrow sticking from her, and instinctively looked for the shooter.  There behind them, coming up near where they had entered the valley, was another Tribal Hunter.  Marny soon felt her stomach flipping over and a sourness rising in her throat.  Finil helped her pull the arrow.  "Some cover would be good now perhaps." he said through clenched teeth as he worked on her.  From her position on the ground, she weakly raised an arm towards the Tribal, and began the chant for the Brambles spell; but halfway through the spell her stomach inverted itself, the ground beneath her heaved, and turning her head, she vomited violently onto the valley floor.  "Stay here." Finil said, and rushed off to face the Tribal Hunter himself.  Seeing the Elf charging him,  the Hunter quickly fired another arrow, hitting Finil..."

Those table setups look great! I've been playing Frostgrave for years now but I've yet to give Ghost Archipelago a try - going to need a lot more palm tree terrain...

Thank you!  Several of the guys contribute terrain, so it is a bit of a group effort.    We've found GA to be a lot of fun, and it definitely has enough of a different feel to Frostgrave that yo don't feel your just playing the same game in a different setting.

Hope you enjoy the read.

It's good to finally see your report!  I had abandoned all hope at this point. ::P:  Way to get it in just under the wire before our next game on Saturday.

We played our July game today and did “The Stone Circle” scenario, and had 6 of our regular players in attendance.  Besides my Heritor almost getting kidnapped by a boat full of the enemy  , it was a fun game and full of much carnage and glory.  Full report to follow in a couple days!
