Nice work on the tartan.  I like your color choice.  Compliments his other equipment really well.

Thanks! The tartan is kinda what a lot of the non-skin palette built around, so I'm glad it worked!

I really like those Trollbloods!  You painted them up great!

I need to get me a couple of those.

Thanks! The trolls are not my faction, but I've painted a few of them now and they're great models. Aside from the Privateer Press Assembly Problem, of course, but that's a given for any metal Warmahordes model...

They almost convinced my son and I to buy into them at GenCon last year, but one of the concerns I had was that they looked very assembly-heavy - that, my already enormous (to me) backlog, the looming Bones KS and my shrinking wallet (found them on day 3 lol) ..

I do have their gencon warmachine freebie in a box somewhere, but i don't think it's got a label though (might have been an exclusive from gencon)

That guy looks awesome.. maybe I'll have to go troll their website one of these days and get a troll or two..

edit:  it wasn't buried too deeply - there are 2 figs in the package.. but neither is labeled

The plastic models have more parts than necessary, but are well keyed and easy to assemble, so grabbing a couple of starter boxes wouldn't be too bad. It will take a little time, but Assembly shouldn't be frustrating. It's a fun game and they do great organised play support if you have a FLGS.

The metal models from PrivPress have always been notorious for bizarre multipart assembly. I have assembled single human figures with parts in the double digits.

The gencon "beer model" in 2017 was the "Voltaic Vixen." I'd guess that's what you have...a woman, one hand on her hip, the other holding a staff with a steam whistle on the end, boots that look like bell-bottoms and a midriff-baring chestplate? (Called "beer models" because there's a local-to-Gencon brewery that makes a PrivPress-themed beer each year in conjunction with the model)
