Has anyone else not got Tomb of Horrors mini's from Pacesetter Games?

The title says it all. There has been a private facebook group with occasional interaction from Bill Barsh the proprietor of Pacesetter Games that bought the mouds out of the Center Stage Miniatures bankruptcy and pre-sold them again to the unsuspecting public

Unfortunately the line must be cursed as there have been big problems on miniature delivers and haughty communications following representations of deliveries been made which were false and over a year old.

Is anyone else in the same boat or considering transacting with Pacesetter.

*-Cheers

I backed the ToH kickstarters and went on to purchase the complete collection from Pacesetter at a hefty discount. I received a package which contained most of the ‘complete’ collection but promises by Bill Barsh to send out the missing pieces were never fulfilled.

I backed the kickstarters and also went on to purchase minis from Pacesetter.  Although I do consider that I got acceptable value for my investment (between the free download certificate from Frog God Games and the discount from pacesetter) I would be very cautious about approaching Pacesetter for any additional minis.  I am still missing a couple of minis but after the first couple of exchanges, they just weren't worth the hassle.  Bill was very hard to communicate with, sometimes requiring multiple emails from multiple sources to get his attention.

To be fair, everyone manufacturer who touches that series of minis seems to suffer horribly from both personal and business related misery.  Kickstarter was new and the costs of those minis were unbelievably low.  And then there was the question about whether or not the artists ever got paid for their work.  Not the finest kickstarter moment ever.

Thanks for the responses. I must say I was surprised that Pacesetter Games got it wrong given they have been around for some time and Bill Barsh seems to be pretty well known. I kick myself for not recognizing the red flag when Bill Barsh was defensive of Matt Solarz. I understand that Matt made poor business decisions (and in my view misused Kickstarter funds) but it was the personal lies that irked me and now its deja vu with Bill. I don't know how these people can walk into a room.

I had pretty good luck with my minis. I think only one was missing, and it was because the sculpt had vanished (ogre mage I think). They are very nice minis, it's a shame everything that went wrong with the project.

Frog God Games turned me into a fan with their handling of the mess. At first I was a little bugged that they got a licensing fee and backers got nothing, but weren't obligated to do anything. And they ended up giving every backer a digital store credit equal to backers pledges, so I got a pile of pdfs at a huge discount. I doubt they could have handled their part better.

I have now requested a refund on the second occassion from Bill Barsh. No response.

His official policy on the Pacesetter web-site says

"Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:

We offer a 100% refund if you are not satisfied. Your concerns are our concerns."

At least Matt had the good grace to declare bankruptcy and join a seminary. Bill just seems to steal the money.
